Picture Pefect - Above & beyond my expectation.......2007-03-05
Upon reading many review sites, and basically looking upon many different makes and models of camera. I now stand by my choice of paying the price of this beautifully crafted camera, which has style, elegance and Zest, and it does what it does. Its gone well beyond my own expectations, and I anticipate many memorable experiences from taking photographs from this camera. It not only takes pictures in very lighted situations but none at all, and the flash is very bright to capture and image. I am by far impressed with the way this camera, however still in the early stages of finding out how I use the WI-FI functions as well as setting the pixels at a lower end of the spectrum. Above else, a definite buy however from my recent knowledge, this model is sought after, and has since been discontinued by Nikon in place of the distinguished Nikon S7c which is also a recommended buy. So I look forward to my travels, and tons and tons of picture perfect moments.

I'm a professional photographer shooting Nikon and I bought this for my parents as a present. Having played with it myself now for a few weeks, I can say it's a stunning camera with amazing features and very easy to use and to get fabulous results.
Given I'm a pro, I'm amazed with the S6 - Nikon have done a superb job and I can't recommend it highly enough.
Amazon have the cheapest price too for it.

Bought this slick baby in October before embarking on the holiday of a lifetime and it proved to be a great camera...............with a couple of minor niggles that may be more to do with my photographic prowess than the camera!
The screen is ace and everyone viewing the day's pictures were impressed - most people who saw it just wanted to buy one straight away. Takes short video clips which have proved really entertaining. Also very light and compact.
The camera has a massive number of modes which take some getting used to - like most complex equipment you use it on a couple of modes most of the time!
I bought a 1GB memory card and it seems impossible to fill it! I also bought the hard leather case to protect it.
So to the niggles...........finding the right flash mode can be tricky. I found I either got red eye (easily eliminated back on the computer) or a lot of reflection on indoor night shots (much trickier to edit out, but can be done). In the end for night time entertainment across a room, I found the video was the best option!
Overall, I would strongly recommend this camera - very compact, stylish, easy to use.

I have previously owned the Fuji F30, Canon v5 and used various Sony 6mp camera, these are all highly rated Cameras but they are boring campared to this!!!!
This camera is great, very easy to use and the bigger screen really makes a difference to the experience of shooting and viewing. The PICMOTION feature is awesome and is a very cool feature, my kids and friends love viwing the pictures. Videos are crisp and sound quality is great. You can time pictures every 30 secs, 1 min and play back, record sound and edit pictures on the camera. The extra features on this camera really make the camera special.
This has been the best Digital Camera I have used and bought ever, and you will not be disapointed with it.

I have found this product to be alarmingly bad. I have tried repeatedly to get the thing to work at a basic level with no luck. Just to get a photo out of it would be very nice. I have to remove the battery in order to switch the thing off. It repeatedly jams and will not work whatever I try. I returned the first one for a replacement and had almost the same level of problems with the replacement,which I bought from a seperate outlet unconnected to the first retailer. It would be easier to say what DOES work; Well,the lcd screen does light up when the product is fully charged. That is all. The software has been a real pain to install. The dc connector does not fit the deck and I have to force it in to get it to take a charge. There is no media storage with the product. The screen and the camera body became grubby and scratched very easily.I spent many frustrating hours; days trying to get some usefullness out of this and nothing about it has been satisfactory. The manual is very small and dificult to understand. I am a person who can operate sophisticated music software programmes like Cakewalk, but I cannot do this one.If Nikon are going to churn these things out they should give them a health warning; ''This product will get you seriously mad!'' I have returned my second one; and never want the likes of Nikon to darken my doorstep again. Avoid at all cost!
