EXCELLENT CAMERA!!!.......2006-11-29
I BOUGHT THIS CAMERA AS AN UPDATE TO MY 2MP NIKKON (ALSO AN EXCELLENT CAMERA) SO MY NEW ONE HAD A BIT TO LIVE UP TO, HAVING SEARCHED THE NET AND READ THE REVIEWS I DECIDED ON THE KODAK V550, AND HAVING IT NOW FOR A FEW MONTHS I WOULD BE HAPPY TO RECOMMEND IT TO ANYBODY. IT TAKES AN ALL ROUND EXCELLENT PHOTO IN ANY LIGHT (EVEN INDOORS), BUT THE BEST THING IS THE SUPER QUICK SHUTTER SPEED, WHICH WHEN YOU'VE GOT KIDS, GETTING THAT INSTANT PICTURE MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE.

This is the best camera i have had, it is easy to use, takes great pictures and has a great large screen. I have always chosen kodak digital camera as they always take great pictures and this is no exception. It even takes great pictures at night or in a dark room/club etc. I now have a great collection of pictures and am still happily snapping away!! I would recommend this camera to everyone!!

Cannot fault this camera, have had it since yesterday and every shot comes out lovely which is good considering most of these where low light indoors shoots. The screen is excellent and can be viewed from any angle which is a must for showing off your pictures down the pub.
I read a lot of reviews about this camera before I bought it and was concerned about the battery life and the button size. I was using it on and off all last night so the battery is good enough for me, just need to remember to bring the charger with me on any trips. The buttons are a little tricky at first (size a position) but I am getting used to them and can live with this.
The only fault I have is with the `Kodak Easy Shear' software, I know its designer to be easy to uses but I still expected it to be customisable to the way I wanted it to be. I can't stand it and want it off my pc as soon as I can find a suitable replacement.
Sum Up: Excellent camera, but dump the software.

I was given this camera for a bday present and what can I say other than you get a lot for your money.
It lets you configure the camera manually (if ur good with photos and know what ur doing!) and gives u many automatic options to choose from and takes brilliant pictures. Has a huge screen so if u have a mum like mine whos blind as a bat she can see u with no trouble! Even comes with a dock for file transfers although u dont HAVE to use it to get snaps from the camera to pc. It also prints excellent enlargements. Far better than my previous Nikon and cheap for the features.
Overall I'd say 10 out of 10!!! xxx

Just received the camera thru amazon to say and i have to say i fall in love with it as soon as i saw it. It small just a bit bigger than my phone and not too heavy. The LCD screen is massive and the picture quality seems gud although i havent had time to test it out properly. The only annoying bit is the buttons which are bit too small so u have to fiddle around abit be4 u can press it properly, but u cant complain cos the camera is small so no space to make big buttons. By the way the camera come with a pouch and even an additional 2pin plug for foreign country which is a plus if u take it on holiday. Overall this camera is the best, and the price is gud too.
