Customer Reviews:
Top dog!!!.......2008-01-14
This has got to be one of the best headphones out on the market at the moment. Sound quality is exceptional and initially, the headphones do get a little used to wearing , but they do turn out to be really comfortable. I have been through a lot of headphones/earphones. They either end up lost, stolen, broken in pieces... These are on another level. They are as tough as old boots. I strongly recommend these headphones to the sports addict.
Good, But bass is a little low for my tastes...........2008-01-14
These are pretty good. I have done a few 5 mile runs and have found them more than acceptable. They haven't dropped from my head at all and they don't need any adjustment. My only reason for losing a star is that the bass tone is a little low, as I am used to the in the ear type.
These are comfortable to wear & sound OK. I did, on some of my earlier runs, try to use the in the ear type but these pulled in my ear and this caused a noise in my ear when my foot struck the floor. I thought the cable was pulling on the earpieces.
These avoid that happening in two ways:
1) The band is curled around the top of your ear, which supports the weight of the cable on the headphones (not as uncomfortable as it sounds!).
2) This has a small crocodile clip type thing that can be attached to the cable. When attached to the cable and to your clothes near the top of the cable, with a small amount of slack between the clip and the ear-piece, it seems to stop the jerk on the headset itself- so no more pulled out cables.
Very good for jogging........2008-01-10
I jog to and from work (3 miles each way) and listen to an Ipod Nano. I've struggled using Creative and Apple standard earphones so tried some Creative ones which you push into your ears. Whilst better they were still a pain with the wires pulling the earphones out and the sound altering if the phones were moved.
I decided to order a pair of Sennheiser PMX70 as they couldn't be any worse than what I was putting up with. So far I'm pleasantly surprised. They feel a little odd at first as you can feel them around the back of your neck, but in every other respect they are very good. Sound is great, fit is excellent and they dont move even when I'm looking from side to side to run across roads. The small clip to hold the wire inplace is very handy aswell as it allows you to route the wire to suit and avoid it getting in the way.
At last something that stays in your ears!.......2008-01-01
These are the first sport headphones I have purchased as I got annoyed with the iPod white headphones falling out, Sennheiser MX50 ear buds falling out and Shure E4C getting broken in the rain (expensive!).
The sound quality is probably on a par with the iPod whites but nowhere near as good as the Shures. However these headphones are 10% of the price of the Shures so we can't hold that against them. When you are out running you don't really notice the difference.
Once you have got them in your ears they don't come out until you take them out. I have tried shaking my head violently and jumping up and down and they are not dislodged.
The chord is nice and long so that it fits into the headphone jacks on the gym machines in my local gym. When I am running outside with my iPod Shuffle or am using the Shuffle in the gym the chord it a bit long. I found that if you pair it up with a "Smart Wrap" chord tidy then it is all manageable whilst you are exercising and does not get all tangled in your sports bag.
Plus as other reviewers have suggested the colour is not *that* green in real life. Go for it :-)
Simply: Excellent for the gymnasium and jogging.......2007-12-22
I have literally tried all sorts os so called "sports" earphones for jogging and the gymnasium and all of them have been utter garbage. They either fall out of my ear from time to time, dont feel comfortable or break due to excessive sweating.
These Sennheiser PMX70 are quite simply awesome and do "exactly what it says on the tin". They stay perfectly in your ear due to the band that goes over your ear and around the back of your head (and its never gets in the way). The sound quality is excellent for a product that is very cheap and the sound never fades or becomes fussy regardless of how much you sweat.
I have had my sports earphones for 3 months now and I can safely say they are the BEST sports earphones in the market place today.
