Supreme digital.......2007-08-15
I had gone over to digital for the convenience of variable ASA settings and instant use of the results without waiting for processing. I missed my small superb Leica M6 for the portability and quality as I was using the excellent but big heavy Canon EOS 1Ds mk2. I bought a Leica m8 in March and am so pleased. My 35mm f1.4 aspherical lens, the best lens I have ever used, is back on a camera and the prints are extraordinary, clearly a better look than the Canon. The theoretical resolution is less but the results are knockout, whether lens or sensor I don't know.
One big downside is the need for expensive IR cut filters on each lens.

Great Little Machine.......2008-01-17
i bought this machine in spite of the bad review it gor from what hifi, although in fairness i do appreciate the cooments they made about the overall sound from the ipod, it was good but not brilliant, the DAB on the other hand was great it even worked at my mates house where i could not get a good reception even woth the white airiel that is normally supplied. with the metal antenna up full i was able to get a really good selection of stations that sounded rich and warm.
at the end of the day i feel that £130.00 for this machine was about right , it looks very stylish, is solidly made and overall sound and volume is impressive.

I was amazed at the number and variety of docking stations with speakers and I did my homework and I hept going back to this one . The quality met my expectations and it was easy to set up . No buzz on DAB and excellent pkay of my ipod. As ever Amazon were excellent and I can only thank other rviews that got me to this choice. If you want BOSE quality sound and a radio this is the choice.

The Intempo is a marvellous product. It is deceptively small and compact yet produces fantastic sound. The Aux port at the back allows you to connect it up to your laptop and it comes with the cable; this is a great addition and isn't often mentioned. The lowest alarm setting is absolutely fine, contrary to other reports and easy to set. The remote is simple to use and you can seamlessly switch between ipod, DAB, FM and aux. It is effortless to set up and can easily be moved around. It may be more expensive than some other docks but with DAB coupled with the overall sound quality, not to mention the stylish looks, the Intempo is the right thing to buy if you're looking for a dock.
DAB and iPod integration.......2008-01-14
I was after a set of decent speakers with a built in DAB radio for my Gen5 iPod, and this looks like it ticked all the boxes. Ordered it from Amazon on the free delivery option and it arrived 3 days later.
Setting up could not be any easier - find a space to sit it, plug it in and switch it on. Make sure the aeriel is up and it auto scanned for DAB radio channels, I live in a good signal quality area so I have lots of channels! The iPod sits in an ejectable tray, you do need to find the right fitting of for it, 6 are provided in the box and if you check them then you should find one to fit just about all iPods (I'm not sure how you change the fitting if you change your iPod though as they fit in with a distinct click). You can use the provided remote control to control your iPod - click menu to use the usual menu options and press the period key as the central button. The unit also charges your iPod even when it is on standby. If you don't have an iPod you can still connect an MP3 player through the input jack - there is a cable supplied for this.
As to sound quality I have been vey pleased so far. Quality when using an iPod is excellent, DAB radio sounds a bit hollow BUT it is still much better than my old DAB radio. You do need to play with the bass and treble settings a bit to make it sound better.
It looks, it sounds good and it is simple enough for anyone to setup.
Fantasic but why only in Black?.......2008-01-11
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my Dad and boy am I impressed. The sound that this system gives out is really impressive. It totally wipes the floor with Bose's similar system and at half the price you can't go wrong. The DAB is also excellent. It tuned itself in immediately and again great quality. I would highly recommend this system. The only problem I have is that it only comes in black. Everything in my house is either white or silver, including my iPod so if you're reading this Intempo, bring these out in 3 seperate colours - white, silver and black so that we buyers have more choice. As soon as you do I will be buying another one for myself..
