Don't set your expectations too high.......2008-01-14
I bought a set for a small flat in France where I wanted to relay satelite from a bedroom (where the dish is) 10 metres through a stud wall and a brick fireplace to the lounge area where a flat screen TV is. The satelite signal's pretty strong.
It's easy to set up and get working, and the infrared sender seems good, but I've never got a great picture, and occasionally it's a really bad picture (black and white, occasionally get the bottom of the picture at the top) - I can cope with it until I can be bothered to run wire through the place, but as reported by others, people walking between the two units can affect the picture, as can wifi (causes slight strobing regardless of channel selected), baby monitor and portable telephones (these last two not so much though). Curiously, the picture seems at it's worst when it's graphics (e.g. satelite menu screen, screen overlay on a phone-in, that sort of thing) but it may be the TV (28 inch Phillips flatscreen) trying to compensate (the TV apparently has this feature, but I haven't tried switching it off yet)
To be frank, if I was in the UK I'd return it as not fit for purpose, but I'm still in France so it's more hassle than it's worth. Oh well, caveat emptor.

I have just returned this item as it does not perform as as is stated. The transmission is regularly interferred with if anyone passes between the transmiting/receiver units. Therefore, if people are walking around your house the picture is constantly being interferred with. In addition the sender unit even when switch off, interferres with the main TV picture (the split scart adapter interfers with the main TV picture). Dismantle it and you picture returns to its normal standard!Does not really do what it says on the tin!

My superwand worked just about ok for the first year, then shortly after the guarantee ended it died. Philex's attitude was "oh well, you need to buy another one". If you want a sender that will last, this is not for you.
Easy set-up, very little interference.......2007-11-27
After reading mixed reviews I decided to just go ahead and buy it for use with sky+ upstairs.
Well worth the money when you are looking at around an extra £50 on the price of a standard new TV with digital built in.
Our house has wireless internet, phone and baby monitor and still works with no interference. Interestingly the baby monitor LCD is able to pick up the wireless sky on one of its channels which is cool.
Comes complete with all scart leads required.
Would highly recommend.
Really simple to set up and use.......2007-10-23
Having read a few mixed reviews I decided to go ahead and buy this in order to watch Sky upstairs without having to shell out for another box. Following the instructions it took about 10 minutes to set up and I haven't looked back. There is some interference if the downstairs TV is on but apart from that it would appear to be foolproof.

I was very impressed when I first bought this MiniDisc player, as it's AIWA logo'd, I presumed it may not be the best of the bunch, but it is very cheap so I bought it.
I was impressed when I first got my songs onto the player, after fiddling around with the software for about 10-20 minutes. The player is good and the battery lasts for hours upon hours even at full volume, the only gripe, as with nearly all portable players of any kind is the ear phones, which are of poor quality, I use a different pair.
All in all, a good purchase.
Disappointing - don't buy this..........2004-08-04
Although this machine's branded "AIWA" it's actually built by Sony. The "Net MD" feature was one of the main reasons for buying this machine, and in theory the idea's a good one: 5 CD's (up to 320 minutes) on a single mini-disc is not too bad. However the practice is a little different. In order to fit 320 minutes onto a single mini-disc, the music files are compressed so much (using a setting called "LP4" which compresses to 66Kbps), the sound quality is poor and even distorted. OK for speech recordings, but for music it's just not good enough. Apart from that, the unit works well enough, it interfaces well with a computer(via USB 1.1) and it's a relatively quick and painless job to transfer music from a CD to the mini-disc. Construction is very lightweight so don't drop it or you might have to buy another one.....

I love this product i have one myself. So easy to use and its quite affordable. A great product. Could use a mic in port though.
