Firstly it lookes far superior to any other itrips i have seen.
However the reception is poor very crackley and has to be as near to the aerial in the car for any success. My brother has the griffin itrip that fits on the ipod but is sized for the larger ipod, doesn't look so good but is far more practical. I'm ditching this one and going for the other one.

Firstly I'd like to mention that these iTrip's are truly great things and this one is no exception. They are especially brilliant in the car during long journeys when you just get bored of cassettes or normal radio...
One thing though... The majority of the reviewers here are giving this product stick and a rubbish rating because THEY DIDN'T READ THE DESCRIPTION... 1ST GENERATION iPod NANO!!!! Yes there is a difference, so make sure to read the description...
Worthwhile Nano add-on.......2007-02-05
So long as you're the owner of a 1st gen Nano, then this really is a must-have piece of kit. The transmitter works well enough, and is very simple to use. The unit itself fits very nicely to the ipod, looking, as it should, like an integrated part of the unit.
A big plus for me is the mini USB socket on the iTrip. This means that I can now charge the iPod and sync with iTunes via a USB connection rather than the Apple wire...I think this is worth the sub £10 cost alone!

I have this CD walkman for 3 years now and it is absolutely phenomenal. The optic reader has a long, long, long life. I listten to it at least 4hs a day and never gave me any problems. Super simple to use but nevertheless the most efficient I have seen so far. It has a hold button so you don't hit other keys by accident, if you stop a song and turn it off next time you turn it on it will continue from where it stopped... and also the The Jog Proof works!!! What else can you want?
The volume is fine... not as high as others, but who cares? is not meant to make you deaf!

This Walkman has excellent sound quality, bur the bookmark feature is pants! A traditional programming feature would have been much better. This annoys me so much that I've deducted 2 stars. 40 hrs battery life is good, however.

A good CD player except for the volume. The volume is insufficient to over ride external noise and where the music is quiet the sound is virtually inaudible. Useless for classical music.

this cd player is amazing and the AVLS which limits the sound can be turned off by the flick of a switch. The battery life is incredable i rarely have to replace the batteries. Its easy to use, when you turn the cd player off it automattically holds your place you listened up to. it has a hold feature so if you accidently knock a button it doesnt mess up your listening. on the whole an amazing cd player. buy it!!

Quiet, One word that describes this perfectly. Even set at the maximum the volume seems very low and you will struggle to hear it if you are using speakers. I have encountered problems with the laser sticking which causes the CD to jump. On the positive side i have had this product for five months and have only changed the batteries once even though i use it frequently.
Final thought: Not bad but could do better
