Customer Reviews:
Superb........2007-12-04
After using a set of £30 Technics headphones I immediately noticed a tremendous difference in sound quality. I have a varied taste in music and the phones are yet to disappoint me, though I have found myself tweaking the equalizer settings after having used the Technics.
Whilst I am yet to be disappointed sound quality wise, the comfort of these headphones are not what I expected after reading so many reviews of how "comfy" they are (hence the 4/5 rating). Perhaps they just need to be worn in? Either way, they could be softer around the ears.
These were an early christmas present and I couldn't be more pleased with them.
Worth the £80? Simply put, yes.
Sennheiser - You pay for the name, you get the quality.......2007-10-19
I had previously used Sennheisser phones a few years back (MD-500 in-ear) and was impressed by the range contained even in that style.
It has been mentioned already that these are worth double the price and I wholeheartedly agree due to the build quality, design and overall package. Upgrading from bass obsessed in-ear phones I found the music taking on a deeper level with more treble range and distinctive bass as opposed to distorted thumping.
If you are looking to upgrade from pocket convenience to sound quality at a decent price you should definitely start here, I have found myself re-listening to the majority of my collection just to spot the differences.
The ONLY gripe I can find is with the head band size selector being too flimsy, each time you take them out of your bag you have to re-adjust. Apart from that; excellent phones.
Great headphones - even after having owned HD600's.......2007-08-11
My Sennheiser HD600's finally gave up working after many years of use so I decided to try these HD595's instead, and let me say that I'm certainly not dissapointed! Fantastic sound quality - great hi and low freq, and everything in between pretty much faultless. I can honestly say that I prefer the sound of the 595 over the 600's - and half the price!
Comes with a handy headphe hanger too which is not a gimmick as you might think.
I highly recommend these - you won't be disappointed!
A rare delight - you may never need another pair of cans.......2007-06-28
Firstly - I agree with everything said in the other reviews.
I have had a pair of these beauties for a few weeks now and they just keep getting better and better. A quick search on the net and sites such as Headfi will reveal these cans are very highly regarded and also improve with use. There are people claiming that you need to leave them running for 24 hours plus in order to 'burn in' but I have found it much more fun to run them in whilst they are on my head.
I bought Sennheiser PMX100's some time ago and those bobby dazzlers opened my ears as to how good headphones, even at that price range, could be. These HD595 will give you sound reproduction to rival a speaker set-up worth thousands of pounds, won't disturb the neighbours and you won't even feel them on your head after 5 mins. Close your eyes and let the music wash over you........ahhhhh.
Mindblowing.......2007-06-14
Being a bit of a pc gamer i wanted to invest in some real headphones, instead of these "gamer headsets". Coupled with a good quality desktop mic, these perform far better than any other headphones that i have ever owned, sennheiser know how to made audio products and this is no exception.
They are light and very confortable to wear for long periods of time.
Admittedly everyone around you can hear what you are doing if you have them up loud, but not too much of an issue as far as im concerned.
The only problems are the lack of volume control, but a keyboard with volume buttons soon fixes that, and also the headphone stand wont clip on to thick desks, i have slightly modified it to fix on to my desk, but a few more mm and i would have been stuck.
Still, all things said and done, fanstastic 'phones
