A Great Quality Digital Camera.......2007-12-30
Well i had always used the normal 35mm cameras until now and they were ok but i decided to get my first digital camera for xmas so this was the one i chose, no reason for picking this one just liked the look of it plus it was cheap at £49.99 from Argos. So i inserted my 2GB SD memory card and was amazed to realise i could take 1006 photos on this 7.2MP camera which is amazing considering im used to just taking around 36 with normal films but this camera is great for taking photos indoors when in low light and also filming which is far better than digital camcorders are, and the best thing is it's light and easy to use, just switch it on and away you go, there no hidden tricks with this one so i'd really recommend it for all the first time buyers out there.
Product Description
This is a compact Remote Switch to prevent camera shake for super telephoto shots, macrophotography, and bulb exposures. It is 100cm long and handy for taking pictures of subjects that are difficult to approach, or to minimize vibration at low shutter speed for close-ups and timed exposure. The Remote Switch works just like a remote shutter button, enabling halfway to focus or complete pressing to take a shot. It also has a shutter-release lock.

DAB digital and FM clock radio with iPod Dock
Customer Reviews:
Poorly made, poor sound, poor customer service.......2008-01-16
2 stars for a good ipod interface and easy to use setup.
3 stars off for poor build quality (mine had the high pitch whining noise), poor sound (don't try to play anything with a bassline) and poor customer service (despite this being "unfortunately" a known fault, I got no apology and was made to feel like I was splitting hairs for bringing it up).
Mine's gone back.
Pure idock.......2008-01-14
I compared this to the intempo and this is much better than the latter. The features are fantastic (especially the ipod functionality), it is very user-friendly and it is a great size (much smaller than the pics suggest). Everyone goes on about the sleek look of the intempo but I think this one actually looks cooler. The only downsides are a slight buzz at very low volumes (it's fine though) and the fact that you can't use the remote to go through your presets, but they are far outweighed by the upsides.
I am very happy with it and I am pretty fussy about these things.

Great Alarm Functions, Good sound, and time thats stays on!.......2008-01-14
It came down to a choice between the In-Tempo and this.
Having read the reviews on here and elsewhere I decided that the two issues with the In-Tempo, time light and loud alarm volume, were ones I couldn't live with.
I went for the iDock and I am very pleased. The functionality of the alarm is ideal. The DAB crystal clear and the ipod docking great.
You can set one of four alarms, each with their own preset, volume and source.
The sleep button is excellent with the lowest volume on the unit ideal for dead of night listening whilst you drop off.
If you want a sound dock probably then there are better ones around but if you main driver is the alarm function with DAB and IDock then this is recommended.
The sound quality so far for me is very good, its a bedroom unit after all
Pure Idock Review.......2008-01-03
Good Points:
- compact and looks good (in my opinion) on a bed side table.
- great alarm functions, all four of them.
- DAB features work really well.
- easy to control ipod (and charges it up as well).
- low energy usage in operation and standby.
- clock automatically dims when lights turned off.
Bad Points:
- sound is okay but not great, there is a lack of clarity and bass with distortion at higher volumes. (UPDATE: turn off the DRC to improve sound quality - this would be worth another half star)
- not cheap for what is basically a bed side radio.
In general I am happy with it as it does what it says on the tin and is also supposed to be good for the environment. Just don't expect Bose sound quality. To see what it looks like in action go to youtube and put pure and idock into the search box.
Good alarm clock but don't expect dolby surround sound.......2008-01-01
On the plus side this product has an excellent spec and looks good. The price is competitive and the delivery/service was superb especially considering my order was at the end of December purchase. My only complaint is that the sound quality is pretty average. It's ok for a bedside alarm clock but don't expect to be woken with a room full of sound.

mpman mpcs255.......2007-07-19
Like your other reviewer I rate this product as 5 star. I was looking for a replacement for my MP3 player and needed one which could take SD cards.
I found the ideal gizmo in comet, it was a clearance item and so for the amount paid I really should be giving 10 stars. If anyone needs a cheap player as I did then buy this if there are any left. It is astonishing for the price.
Very good for the price!.......2007-02-18
At the £[...] this device is almost an all-singing all-dancing wonder-box. Audio and video quality is good, camera quality is good for being only 1.3 mp, and I have been using regular 2 gig SD cards in the device successfully even though the packaging says it takes 1 gig SD cards max. This is to be expected in something from MP3Man - the inventors of the portable MP3 player.
There are some limitations: video can only be played in .asf format, requiring a conversion from anything else. Larger .asf files will not allow fast forwarding - meaning if you are in the middle of a movie it will force you to watch it from the beginning all over again if you power down the device. Both of my devices display this tendency. The included video format conversion software is both effective and extremely easy to use, even for the inexperienced.
The filename system in the device is the old DOS-type system - it displays only part of long 'XP' type filenames, so it may be wise to add some numbers to the front of your mp3's to tell them apart. Putting mp3's on an SD card can be tricky as well - they must be in a specific folder or else the device will not see them.
The controls also take a bit of getting used to. Those familiar with some of the Chinese made MP3 players on the market should have no problem.
That said, the device is otherwise nearly perfect. The life of the built in battery is fantastic at 12 hours. The device comes with all necessary cabling and a decent case. The video quality of the built in camera is amazing for the price - 30 fps at 640x480 - it rivals many more expensive camcorders! The ear bud headphones supplied are also very high quality and not only have solid metal plugs but a built-in strap to hold the device so you can wear it around your neck.
Displaying it's images and video on a television is easy, with the supplied AV cable. The same cable also allows you to record directly into the device from other AV equipment.
Yes it uses the old DOS style filename system, has sometimes tricky controls, and it will only play a single video format. I still give it a very high 5 stars as it is not only solidly built but does more things, quite well, for the price than any other device on the market.
Highly recommended!
