christmas box.......2006-01-27
I received this vivitar digital camera for christmas and have so far enjoyed using it I have no problems with it it does run the batteries down quickly when connected to the computer but otherwise no probs.
battery problem.......2005-12-30
following purchase of this camera it went through several lots of batteries in one day including duracell, rechargable and other makes.
i feel that this camera may be cheap but certainly reaps back the cost in the money spent on batteries.
I would be interested if anyone else has had this problem

Imation CDR -80 (52x) 25pk.......2005-07-04
Good quality CD's excellent for recording your music or system back ups.
Good price + Good quality.......2005-06-03
Shame you don't get cases, but for this price that really isn't surprising. I burnt music to my CDs and the sound quality was good, and they worked in all the different CD players I tried (car/house stereo which is an old Bang & Olufsen one).
I was a bit worried about buying blank CDs, last time I did, they didn't play on any stereo except one which was about 20 years old and didn't work properly...but these ones do work, and so I'm very happy with them!
Worth buying in my opinion if you're looking for general blank CDs to pop in your walkman..
Excellent value.......2004-12-29
They might not be the best blank cd's you can buy, but for the money, they are unbeatable value. You can record up to 80 minutes of music or 700mb of computer files. I have bought hundreds of these down the years and not one of them has ever failed. Highly recommended for general use. The only problem (but not big enought to rate a loss of a star) is that you do not get any dual cases with them.

Mistake on the spec.......2007-01-09
Ive had my stereo since i got my car and its a fantastic product recommended to anyone. But if you had big plans for a stereo like i did just a little bit of a correction. The spec sheet says it has a 4 channel output, but mine only has the two. Unless they have changed the unit which is unlikely there are only the two.
Stonking........2006-11-15
Clearly I bought this stereo for music and not a fangled bluetooth add on for my aging mobile phone. As it's primary function -a stereo, this item is excellent. Sound quality, and ease of use is superb and installation was a doddle.
Granted, it's a little fiddly as a bluetooth device for a mobile. However, if I was going to buy it solely for that then I'd be an idiot. As there are many many better bluetooth devices that handle handsfree and phonebook management.
So in summary:
Car stereo being a car stereo = good
Car stereo pretending to be a handsfree kit = bad
very disappointing.......2006-05-27
O.k., the DEH-55BT gets a star because I can make and receive calls over bluetooth, and the sound quality is good at both ends of the call. But sadly Pioneer's mastery of bluetooth technology goes little further than that.
Before I bought this unit I took the trouble to download the manual from the Pioneer website and studied their 'phone compatibility list to make sure it did what I wanted. But I was grossly misled. So here is what I wished I had known before I bought it.
The Nokia 6230i, according to their compatibility list, is just about as compatible as it can be. But transfer of the 'phonebook to the Pioneer unit does not happen like the manual describes. Only after contacting support (no courtesy of a reply, just a link to pre-prepared answers that might help) did I learn that I have to transfer numbers in ONE AT A TIME, in a TEDIOUS PROCESS. Subsequently I discovered they are better transferred in alphabetical order, because the Pioneer won't sort them !
Pioneer arrogantly blame Nokia for this "there is a limitation on the phone (all Nokia's) not the headunit", but this is simply not true, because I have a TomTom GO700 navigator that has absolutely no trouble transferring the whole of the 'phonebook from my 'phone in one simple operation. So it would seem that it's Pioneer that haven't cracked the technology yet.
As Pioneer didn't bother to reply to my question, I still don't know why the signal strength isn't shown, in spite of the compatibility list specifically telling me that it is.
As an FM car radio, it is actually very good indeed. Unfortunately in my VW it needs an external aerial booster to get anything at all on MW/LW, the booster I have found so far certainly gets MW/LW up to scratch, but at the expense of making FM more prone to crackles.
