The other reviewer is quite right, they should have mentioned that there was no USB connection. However, this never gave me any reason to send it back. it also has the ability to stand both portrait and landscape, the whole of the product is excellent. To get past the problem of the USB, I quite simply bought a 2 GB memory card and just kept downloading pictures from my computer on to the same card. I admit, it may take a little longer, but it's not the end of the world.

It's deliberately left unmentioned in the specs but THIS DOES NOT HAVE A USB PORT!!! A real pain... One would assume a digital photoframe such as this would automatically have one, but no... Must have saved the manufacturers £2 per unit? REALLY QUITE UNIMPRESSED THAT THIS IS NOT MENTIONED IN THE WRITEUP.

I rang this retailer up about this product and the staff were very un professional and also hung up on me as they were unable to answer my comments i would recommend NOT to buy any products from this supplier as if this is the way they treat customers before they buy god help us if we paid out money then this behaviour occurs.

I have got to say this is a nice looking frame, but as with other peoples reviews I was also caught out with the mis- advertised Amazon model. I shopped around and decided to get it from Pixmania where it was £125 plus postage. When it was delivered it had no internal memory or battery, the very things I had ordered it for. So I checked Pixmanias web site and found that their description tallied with what I had ordered, so I suppose it was partly my fault for not double checking.

I have just got my money back for this item as after 2 weeks it developed a fault and would not show photos landscape but was ok when I flipped the screen portrait. A word of warning, although the design is nice to look at, the way the frame sits in its base does not allow for movement and if you catch it the screen goes off. Having no internal battery this design seems wasted, it needs a battery!!. In my view it would be worth the extra to have a battery and internal memory.

BUT BEWARE
Mine was faulty and I think it was from the connection of the frame in the base. Which makes you wonder how robust this model is!!.

I could be wrong, but I think the one from Pixmania might be a different model. I have seen this item for sale in retail shops and it does have memory and re-chargeable batteries in the UK version. I guess this is why there is such a big price difference.

Similar to the last reviewer, I was sent a different item with no internal memory. I was therefore unable to use the item. I returned it over 3 weeks ago and I am still awaiting refund. I don't understand why the item is still displayed on Amazon as it is unavailable.

Just what I was looking for.......2003-11-11

As I travel a lot and like to listen to world service I was looking for a small portable radio, with a built in alarm clock but which also received short wave. Thats easier said than done as radios seem to have gone out of fashion and everyone seems to sell gadgets with too many features. This radio fitted my requirements perfectly, its lightweight, tiny, folds in 2 so is more resistant to falling on the floor, has a little snooze light so you can check the time in the dark and gets excellent short wave reception. You don't even have to change the time as you tell it the time zone and the time adujsts automatically.

What I really liked is that everything is manual, no annoying electronic features that take you 4 hours reading the manual. The sound quality is also very good for such a small device and certainly sufficent for world service, though probably not for someone who really wants to focus on music. I bought this for a studying holiday in Rome and it really served its purpose of allowing me to listen to the local radio and foreign stations, it now travels with me everywhere. The only negative point I can think of is that the noise of the alarm is very irritating but then perhaps its supposed to be.
