Does what it says on the box.......2007-03-04
At last a printer that lives up to all the hype about it.This RX700 is as good as everyone says it is.Having used Lexmark and HP before what was I thinking about,Epson rules from now on.Go that little bit further with the cash, you won't be disapointed with this model it really is that good.The ink is not cheap,but it is worth it for the results you get.You don't need Epson paper to get fantastic prints, what you pay more for on ink ,you can save on paper.The truth is out there it's the RX700.

Despite being a bit on the dear side, I have no difficulty in recommending this printer, it does just about everything you could ever need. I say just about because there are a few things missing: the main thing is a network port adding a network capability to this printer would have been genius, in an age where home networks are becoming more popular.
The scanner is also excellent, even the slide/negative attachment is easy to use, though it is a pity that it will only take 35mm negatives.
The only problem I am having with the printer is the lack of ink, I have been trying to buy a multipack of Epson ink for this model printer for about 2 months, it's even out of stock on Epson's own website. I am loath to put cheap "compatible" ink into my printer as I have never had good results from them. I hope Epson are not thinking of dropping support for this printer.

This machine is simply excellent. Both the print quality and the scan quality are superb.
If there has to be a drawback, it is, of course, the price of replacement ink cartridges. But there are some good compatibles out there, so this needn't be a problem.
A Superb Piece of Equipment..........2006-10-22
I have just received this all-in-one as an upgrade/replacement for my tired old Lexmark. This is truly an outstanding piece of equipment - easy to set up and easy to use. Within 5 minutes of installing it I had printed an A4 sized photograph which was breathtaking in both quality and simplicity to produce. If you are about to upgrade/replace your all-in-one - buy this - but don't order the additional USB cable - it comes with one already attached.
Fantastic Epson Printer.......2006-08-10
I have replaced my Lexmark printer with the Epson RX700. I can only sing it`s praise, for me it does everything the blurb says it does. I am no expert, just an ordinary guy that knows what he wants and expects from a printer...........the Epson RX700 gives this to me.
Excellent print quality, which will give you high quality results to match or even better than photo lab pics. The printer prints direct to CD`s and again the print has to be seen.
The printer will do a lot more, which other people have said in their reviews, and I fully back up what others have said.
Don`t make the mistake of being put off with the price, and go for a cheaper model.......remember you only get what you pay for
One thing to remember you do not need to buy a USB cable when you buy this model, everything is in the box ready for easy installation. And not forgetting Amazon`s fast delivery with it, you can be up and running like myself within 3 days.........how can you fault that ?
