I am impressed with the quality of Metz products. They are are not cheap and the extra expense is usually with it in terms of reliability and robustness. The ability to use a rechargeable source is preferable than buying expensive batteries.
The pack slides into the main gun securely and reduces the fumbling aspect.
Care though has to be exercised in the discharge rate-obviously max power settings will deplete the cells more rapidly. Good thing is that a normal battery carrier can be used in its place while you recharge it without much loss of use.
