Ideal for running with.......2008-01-16

Pros

I bought this primarily as a cheap alternative to the Ipod Shuffle. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It is very small (about 4/5 the size of my little finger) and lightweight. Great for running with.

I was also very surprised that the battery life lasted so long. Simply charge it by plugging into your computers USB. In 2-3 hours it is fully charged. It lasts about 5 or 6 hours.

You can fit about well over 200 songs on this, there is no menu, it is simple a case of clicking a button to move to the next song.

The sound output is good and will be loud enough for most people.

CONS

You have to buy a strap to hold it to your arm. That said it is so lightweight you could put it in your pocket and you wouldn`t know it was there.

The headphones are quite leaky in terms of sound. In a quiet room on full volume its quite loud.

bought this for my son as i have the zen v 4gb and i`v never had any bother wid it..what neat little things they are.so small but can store so much...he loves his.. he can hide it away at work..would recomend zen to any one..cheaper than ipod and just as good..

After reading all the good reviews I decided to purchase Zen Stone (black) and I was not dissapointed. It's very easy to operate and also easy to sync it with PC. The battery life is amazing . There is nothing bad to say about Zen Stone and with Amazon's prices you can't go wrong! Thoroughly recommended.

Hi,

Great product at first although I had some considerable difficulty getting the Creative software to work properly on my PC. After 4 months, my Zen Stone is stone dead. It appears that the battery has given up after a very short time and whilst it will work when connected to my PC, it will not work in its' main role for delivering music on the move. I must admit that I did like the small size when it was working, but it never held that much of a charge and never delivered the play time claimed by Creative.

The price and small size did somewhat compensate for the random delivery of music and lack of information. Would I buy another? No, sorry on this one: it has some good points, outweighed by poor battery life, no information and ultimately a dead battery. At less than £20.00 what did I expect? Not a lot and that's exactly what I got.

I am very pleased that lots of other people are enjoying their's and long may it continue.

scrolling through songs takes ages. it died and never turned on again (even didnt respond to charging!!) just died! i had my A -level coursework stored on it aswel!
Dont waste your time seriously. get a sony or phillips. NOT creative
