Microphone volume low.......2007-09-13
Everything about this headset is good except for the microphone output. It may be the applications I am using echolink and eqso but there is almost no volume on their test rooms.
On the right track but...comfort first, then good sound.........2007-09-01
I have heard Logitech 2.1/5.1s for computers-and their sound is good for that use.
I damaged the headphone socket in my acer laptop, silly sockets at the front..
I decided to buy these usb ones and not being able to try them in the shop because of the packaging,I took a chance and took them in the destructive packaging back to my house.
I noticed the clear audio.I noticed the bass was ok,I was able to run at flat response-and found that I was able to adjust bass/treble to reasonable levels-if/when needed.
The mic seemed clear enough-tho I have not used them for skype.
The big problem is-after reading elsewhere on the net- was not the (good) sound, but the comfort!
Unfortunately,I can only but agree.Other reviewers say the band 'beds in'-it might.
I will check to see whether they fall apart as well-after reading these reviews.
I tried them-But my ears/top of my head were killing me after a short while-they were too tight.Because of the pressure of the tight thin band they pressed the leatherette ear pads into my ears, making them hot.
Maybe the leatherette pads should be cloth?
Logitech in Taiwan(?) have designed these things and nobody has thought to
try them out in the factory!!
The top band needs to be wider and/or a split band type like the microsoft
livechat LX3000s...Or the things need to cup your ears.
Close but no cigar.....
Microphone issues.......2007-08-19
I use my headset daily primarily for a VOIP telephone service. This headset has a great sound at a great price. It is inconsistent with the microphone. I have owned it for a couple of weeks and the microphone cuts out mid call. It is VERY frustrating. I am using Skype so maybe there are compatibility issues so beware if that is your intent.
Does what it says on the box!.......2007-07-27
The hardest part of setting up the headphones, getting them out of the blister pack box!
They plug in to the USB - Brilliant idea, no fiddling around at the back of the computer!
Once plugged in, they worked straight away, and off I was talking on Skype. The audio quality was good, and the mic seemes unobtrusive in use, but sends clear audio.
They adjust to suit my, er, big head, and feel comfortable to wear.
So, in short, I am delighted with them!
The Price! .......2007-07-21
Ok after having mine for 6 months now a wire has split and with a little messing around i've got them working again but what a pain in the @R$£.. So why did i give them a 5 star rating you may ask????.
Well i have had headphones of all types belive me i destroy them all!. For this kind of price you get a set of headphones that will work for a good while with a well decent sound and a great mic attached. The mic still hasn't failed to disapoint but we'll see with time!....
Even if this headset breaks 6 months down the line at least you didn't pay £50 and have them break on you!
