Unreliable Buffalo External hard Drive.......2007-12-21
I am on my second Buffalo external hard drive as the first went haywire and froze into "suspension". Buffalo Tech support patchy and very slow. Amazon were amazing and replaced it with like-for-like very quickly. Unfortunately the replacement like-for-like seems to include the like-for-like "suspension" mode whereby the drive has an orange light, will not backup or switch on and off with the PC. This does not engender confidence. After Christmas, once the parcels rush has died down, I am going to contact Amazon and get a replacement but not a Buffalo as I have absolutely no confidence in the safety of my data with this drive.
