Don't be put off if you are XP user.......2007-11-17
I tried one of these as a replacement for some Belkins I bought for my 3 home computers. This is a far far superior product to the Belkins. The Wireless utility that comes with the Belkin is unbelievably amateurish. I plugged the Voyager in as a replacement and the difference in responsiveness and download speed is very noticeable. Also it's a lot more stable and doesn't intermittently drop out like the Belkins.
Another thing I like is a really clear Toolbar icon that tells you signal strength at a glance.
I'm so impressed I'm about to buy two others and finally get the whole Belkin experience behind me.
Please note that I am running XP. It seems like other people have had issues with Vista.

On Windows XP, this works well - easy set up and strong, stable signal. On the box of mine it states 'only compatible with Windows 2000/XP.'

I didn't buy this product from here, my brother actually bought it for his laptop which runs XP and had no problems with it. However I wanted to get one for my PC which has Vista (Not an upgrade) and it didn't work for me. I had the same error message as J. Hughes. After ringing the help desk, I was put through (eventually) to a very nice person who was unable to help further but somebody will be ringing me back in a couple of days. However I cannot see anything that they will be able to do, so a very unhappy customer.

I have a dell upgrade to vista from XP and I bought a BT voyager 1055 wireless USB adaptor in the knowledge that there was a downloadable vista driver for it on their website (bt.com/store)
However, when I try to run the vista driver it tells me that it only supports vista...but I have vista!, albeit an upgrade. I contacted BT support and they say that because my version of vista is an upgrade it is part XP and part vista and so the drivers for the voyager 1055 get confused...and there is nothing you can do about it, apparently.
This is nonsense from BT tech support as an upgrade (to my knowledge) is not some strange hybrid Operating system. Basically, BT got rid of me with some techie babble because their downloadable vista driver doesn't work properly.
I now have to hope that I can exchange the 1055 for something else, with the company that I bought this from (through amazon marketplace). fingers crossed.
I had no problems with delivery etc through 'marketplace' but, in my experience, the adaptor is useless if you have vista

Fantastic mouse.......2007-09-18
This mouse is brilliant. It's pretty basic but I've never seen the need for extra mouse buttons. It feels very solid and robust, and the accuracy is extremely good. The main selling point of this mouse is the battery life, it took 16 weeks before the batteries supplied with the mouse ran out, and this is with very intensive use often over 8 hours a day. Not quite the 8 months claimed, but I'm guessing that figure is derived from a few a hours a day usage. Another nice feature is that the mouse will work using only 1 battery, which is very useful, because I don't know about you, but I often find that there's usually 1 new battery left in the packet. That was certainly the case for me when it came time to replace the batteries!
Don't buy a stupidly expensive laser mouse that eats batteries, buy this charming little mouse. I'm sure you'll be as impressed with it as I am.

Where do I start.... well i got the mouse just yesterday and I was so pleased with it. It looks even better than on catolouges! The design is very nice and comfortable. At first it is odd becuase the optical sensor is high definition 1100dpi so it picks up your movemnets immediately and can move very fast across the screen but fortunately you can adjust it by using the Logitech 'Set Point' software which comes with the product. I cannot comment on the battery life yet..but the mouse it self has an on/off button on the bottom of the mouse which you can press to switch off the mouse when you do not need it, the mouse is elso equipped with auto-standby which switches off the mouse after 6 minutes if not in use. On the top of the mouse there is the normal two buttons plus scroll wheel. The scroll is 4 way directional which allows you to scroll up and down, and side to side. With the software provided you can also press the button to zoom in on pictures which comes in very handy. There is a battery indicator on the mouse which when switched on lights up green to indicate that the batteries are good or flashes red if the batteries need changing. The mouse has an invisble optical sensor on it which uses much less battery than any other mouse. I haven't seen the invisble optical sensor on any other mouse yet. If you are new to cordless mouses than you should get this one it is excellent value for money. If possible i will try to take more pictures of the mouse.
