This is a great router. I had a netgear router before that was not compatible with xbox live, so i researched this and received it within 24hours of the order! Unbelievable!
Anyway, the router is very stable and easy to set up. My laptop sees it as having 4/5 for strength (netgear was 5/5) but that is still a very good signal strength, and it isnt in the best position in the house!
I would totally recommend this router!

I guess this was a good router since it had so many reviews in the past. However from version 5 on, linksys maintained the same name of the product and removed part of the hardware or substituted with cheaper one. The result: it freezes as soon as you go into web config, and ultimately just dies.

Just set this up, it took about 15 minutes, very easy especially I am the one who usually has computer issues at work!

I bought two routers prior to getting this one for my Virgin Media Broadband. Returned both of them due to signal and speed problems and then I purchased this. The router is better then the previous two and I haven't returned it as it works well. Very easy to install, seems to have a good signal we use it to connect 3 computers altogether, a laptop in one room and two pcs in two other rooms all sharing the wireless connection. The speed is satisfactory and so is signal strength. It looks great a very well designed product. I haven't got anything bad to say about it really so I'm giving it 5 stars. I would recommend it to anyone who has a cable connection such as Virgin Media and shares a wireless connection in the house.

I have had a WAG54G and then this one was sent as a replacement. I strongly advise against purcahsing anything from Linksys. They have got to be the most unreliable router on the market, awful.....
I purchased the Netgear and it has been fantastic and guess what its cheaper too. Save yourself a lot of time and frustration, buy the Netgear...

I've limited technical ability but had this working in less than 15 minutes. The signal is strong no matter where I've been in the house - I use my laptop on the floor above mainly. I've been able to take it outside and use the laptop in my neighbours house without any signal reduction too. When I first set it up, it indicated that the network was unsecure but it was dead easy to add WPA encryption. Feel it would be good if, instead of calling it a 'key', they used 'password' - makes it more user friendly. Well worth the money!
NOT A UK/ ENGLISH VERSION.......2006-02-15
This item shipped from France with French pacakging and French instructions. It had NO UK power lead and I had to buy a UK adapter. The French plug is an integral part of the power supply and is very heavy making it difficult to use with a UK adapter. The router eventually worked fine but only with the help of a techno savvy friend who was even baffled himself at some points. Once up and running it works fine but I'm waiting to see if I get a UK power supply sent. Somehow I doubt it. So BEWARE; the words UK in a sellers name don't meant a thing.
