Nice keyboard, buggy driver.......2007-06-13
Other reviews pointing out the good qualities of this keyboard are accurate, but the use of the device is hampered by a buggy driver that periodically crashes. Irritatingly, the more you use the keyboard, the more the driver crashes, so you can find yourself resetting your hand-held several times during a meeting or lecture.
I'm sure the problem would easily be solved, but Palm refuses to accept bug reports from the general public and have not updated the driver since 2005. Very poor show. I would recommend another, third party, keyboard with a more responsive development staff.

I don't really intend to type much, but i just feel it's important that you know quickly but surely, how good this keyboard really is. It folds in half, making it very compact, and easily fit into your pocket, and it is very light. When open the keyboard somehow, although remaining small enough to look cool, and no bulky, is easy to type on. The keys are a good size, and it makes typing on your PDA so much better then tapping away at the screen letter by letter. I use mine on my tungsten T5, and it is just brilliant. Ignore the fact that it is irDA and not bluetooth, it makes no difference, because you rest your PDA on it to type anyway, and the device seems to pick up the keyboard much better than i originally anticipated.........so to conclude, I definately reccomend this product to anyone who has a PDA and wants an easier, faster and more fun way to type documents, or memos, or even just if you want a cool gadget, this fits everything!!! AMAZING!!
an essential accessory for many, but not perfect.......2005-02-16
The old keyboard for the Vx, m515, etc. had keys that were literally like a laptop. These ones are a bit smaller, and there are fewer rows, so many keys have too many functions using shift and function key combinations. I liked that the old keyboards used power from the palm, while this needs 2 AAA batteries. Granted, the batteries last for ages, and the infrared is flawless - no noticeable delay at all. But there has definately been a tradeoff between the key size and the new need to include batteries and an IR arm.
Having said all that, it works, and provides you with laptop-like functionality from a pair of devices you can carry in a small bag or 2 pockets. With a bluetooth mobile, documents to go and versamail, you've got a complete mobile office!

The software supplied did not work on a number of PCs in order to get the software to the palm /IPaq
Palm one absolved their responsibilty and amazon returns policy did not work. I am now trying to return it to the suppler. Poor after sales this item does not work on OS4 be warned.
Hard to fault!.......2004-05-14
What stopped me buying this sooner? Doubts about whether infrared would be reliable enough for a keyboard. Were these doubts justified? Absolutely not. This has restored my faith in ir, which is just a bonus because it's also a damn fine piece of kit in itself.
Final bonus: If you have a T3 with the aluminium case, you can use the keyboard without taking your Palm out of the case.

I use this keyboard with my PalmOne T5. It's an absolute pleasure to use and very responsive. The size of the thing can be a little disconcerting if you're used to a full blown PC keyboard, but once I got to grips with it, it was great. Highly recommended.
