This easy-to-install Mini-GBIC (or SFP) module provides a simple way to add Gigabit functionality to your Linksys switch. Gigabit fiber is often used to connect two switches together. The technology used depends on the distance between the two switches. The SX module uses 850 nanometer wavelength light in multimode fiber optic cables and can achieve distances up to 220 or 550 meters depending on the fiber used.

There's no point in getting a single-link cable like this one, since dual-link (DVI-D to DVI-D) cables are fully compatible, and no more expensive. That way you know that you'll be able to use dual-link devices in future with the same cable.

More than happy.......2006-03-04

Just got new screens for my Mac and though I'd try out a DVI cable. Can't fault this one - the colours are vibrant and its at least a third as cheap as any other cable of this length I could find in the shops. It really does make a difference to the monitor.
Just be careful you get the right one - there is a difference between DVI-I and DVI-D so check your monitor/PC instructions to be sure.
