Improved Network Range and Speed!.......2007-05-22

The WN511B Rangemax NEXT is very well priced on Amazon, [...] are charging twice the money! Overall it works very well straight out of the box, Network range was increased straight away and I'm very happy with it, it gets a good signal in a part of my house where a Netgear WG111T USB adapter couldn't even connect! One word of warning though - It is compatible with legacy 802.11b and 802.11g WiFi but the speeds are capped at 11Mbps and 54Mbps respectively, so bear in mind if you are connecting to an older router you will only get a maximum speed of 54Mbps. But then again 54Mbps is more than adequate considering that most peoples broadband connection is only 2-4Mbps. You only get 270Mbps when using other draft-n products! I would recommend this as it works very well and doesn't drop the connection very often (unlike some other WiFi products I've tried).

Netgear router DG834N and WN511B.......2007-03-07

Have used this item for a few weeks now, to work alongside the DG834N router as my laptop internal wireless cannot handle the higher security settings. Disable internal wireless options (as recommended) prior to starting and it works straight out of the box. Any router settings are picked up automatically - enter password etc, and off you go. The router was also easy to set-up, again disable any built-in wireless options (as recommended) and the install works a treat. This is one of the easiest setups I have used, bar none. Operational speeds are very good, downloads averaging 100 - 135 Kbsec on a 1Mb ADSL service.

Having recently purchased a new computer with a Broadband connection, I wanted to ensure my equipment was protected and decided to purchase the 6 Socket SurgeMaster from Belkin. The unti itself is very well designed with colour coded LED's and two of the six sockets with a swivel function. This is extremely useful when plugging in bulky modem power supplies. The unit has sockets for your modem connection and therefore provides even more security from spikes or power surges. With an automatic £100,000 equipment protection warranty, you can be safe in the knowledge that your equipment is safe. Belkin is the market leader for these products and Amazon had one of the lowest prices all round. Highly recommended product.
