I did the usual amount of Internet research that I do before I buy almost anything, and found that vast majority of comment was very positive although I was surprised that nobody mentioned the one failing in an otherwise excellent product.
That failing is that it can only be charged in-car via a 12v lead (supplied). Obviously, you need to use the unit when in the car, so charging it means that it can't be used on the visor, as there'd be a lead dangling in front of your eyes. The instructions say that the microphone should be directly in front of the mouth, because of this, it can't be mounted elsewhere. A mains charger would be a big improvement.
Apart from this relatively small gripe, it does exactly what it says on the tin, or rather it's plastic packaging.
The set-up is very easy; it automatically downloaded the handset (a Sony Ericsson K8ooi) phone book very quickly after following the spoken prompts. The speech is very clear during a call and the volume can be turned up very loud without any loss of clarity.
The text to speech conversion is amazing, it's so clear when announcing the caller that there's no mistaking who's on the line. It announces when the call has ended, when it has connected with the handset, and when it powers up and down. Because you don't need to look at the handset to see who's calling or to answer, you don't need to take your eyes off the road. This must mean that road safety is improved.
Summary: I would have given the Visor Voice five stars but for the lack of a mains charger, however, I thoroughly recommend it despite that.

What an excelent bit of kit this is, easy to set up and easy to use.
It will work either on the sun visor or anywhere else that is within 5 meters of your mouth,and if it keeps you safe on the road and points free what more can you ask.

Good hands free option for your car - better than an earpiece as mine keeps falling off. Once you have mastered how to send and receive it is quite easy to use. The contacts download from your phone to the hands free automatically in a few seconds. You do have to speak quickly when making a voice activated call and say the name as you did when you recorded the voice tag. When a call is being received the unit tells you who is calling (if the caller is listed in your phone book). When I made a call I couldn't at first hear my caller although he could hear me - on some phones you then have to press the green button for 1 second to transfer the audio from the phone to the unit.

I purchased the Visorlite a couple of weeks ago. Although it works really well with my Nokia phone, I am having problems with my Samsung SGH-G600.
The phone locates the blootooth and connects but then keeps disconntecting within 10 seconds and before I can use it.
Has anyone else found this problem? If you have any tips I would be really grateful as I don't want to have to return the kit?

took me a while to 'master' the buttons...mind you, there are only 2 buttons!!Found it best to turn off and on the visor for easiest and most reliable reconnection, but if you drive too har (what speed limit) and have the volume turned right up, there is a significant amount of echo to the other party. However, it is convenient and relatively cheap. Ideally, always go for a wired version. This will also reduce any em radiation!!!

This is a superb bit of kit, sound quality is excellent at low speeds or shooting along the motorway. Everyone I've spoken to through this kit has been able to hear me loud & clear and I can always hear them fine.
You can pair this kit with upto 5 mobile phones, it's really light and can be charged via USB (cable not supplied).

Excellent bit of kit..
I looked at handsfree ear pieces but decided on a kit for the car. Then I found this, its simple to use, cheap and transferable between cars. The sound quality is brilliant.
Im going to buy one for my girlfriends car aswell.

I bought this item at Christmas and the unit never got delivered had to continually phone Amazon on a daily basis for 4 days before they would despatch another unit which was received a couple of days later. The sound quality from this unit is good and the unit looks good and is easy to set up but I have some personal issues with the design of the system in that this unit was a replacement for my old JVC system which was around 5 years old and the Samsung does not have a digital audio connection whereas my JVC unit did, I would of thought in this day and age this should be standard so you will be forced into connection you Sky boxes with RCA audio leads. Lastly if like me you don't want to fit the speakers full height but only put the speaker itself onto the base there is no way of concealing the cables coming throught the base as if you feed it through the base as it shows you, the speaker actually crushes the cable so you need to be carefull if you take this option.

I bought this item, I thought through amazon, then realised was being sent from pixmania.
The item was received very quickly and came packaged well.
Then the problems started, opened item Christmas Day to find had european plug not UK (not told) so went out and bought adapter as Pixmania did not reply to messages and I wanted to use item.
Once done this sound quality was poor and now it wont play any DVD's pointless to say the least.
Also telephoned Samsung call centre as described in there book, was guarenteed a 4hour call back now 12 hours later no call back.
Pixmania have still not replied to any messages and have now contacted amazon.
By this from a shop at least you can take back if faulty.

Bought this just this week and it has a distinct lack of digital inputs. None in fact! I wanted to connect my PS3, 1080p LCD HD TV and Sky HD Box and have them all running through the Samsung amp. But I'm having to run everything through the TV and connect the TV to the amp by ANALOGUE phono inputs!! All this money on expensive top kit and now I won't get proper 5.1 sound! Waste of money if you want to do more than just play dvds through the Samsung amp!

Had this system about a week now,fits in perfectly with my Samsung TV and DVD recorder all black & silver and you can use the same remote to work them all.The 5.1 600w sound is impressive with DVD & CD and connected with a HDMI cable the DVD upscaling is very good.The speakers are of a good quality and you get a decent amount of cable.The rear speakers are wireless enabled but you have to buy another new shinny black box the Samsung SWA-3000 Wireless Amplifier delivery system. This "wireless system" will set you back £90 DON'T bother if you have a normal sized room, you still have to wire the rear speakers to it and plug it in. All in all a top product.
