OK, but poor in lighting.......2007-05-16
I took this camera with me when I went backpacking. Generally, my photos were quite good, but the photos were poor when lighting was dim or if I was taking photos at night. Night mode was no good either - photos came out blurry.
On the plus side, it is quite sturdy (except I hit mine against a rock in China and it broke!) and is good in bad weather.

This camera is a quality product. it has modes for every kind of picture that you would need to take(even fireworks!). It is relativly cheap, and it comes with all kinds of Nikon picture editing software. Great buy. Need I say more?

disappointing.......2007-05-23
have not even loaded an operating system onto my new pc yet, but already I had a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen, which then disappeared miraculously. I now have one in the lower left hand quadrant instead. I have two Sony flat screens, two Dell lap tops and an LCD tv, not to mention the countless Dell and other flat screen monitors I have used at work, and I have never had a dead pixel in any of them. So after all I have read about how great the Viewsonic screens are supposed to be, I can say that I am very disappointed.
