I'm sure this is a very wonderful camera, but as IT Surplus have not delivered mine and are not forthcoming with a refund, I don't think I'll be finding out any time soon.

`I am an art student and keeping the documentation is a key for getting better mark (unfortunatelly!) I always wanted to have a degital camera but what I wanted was too expensive, now I am in my last year and I don't have a choice, I got this camera just to make me happy until I get better one which would cost me '1000 or over. It came out much better than I expected, the brilliant micro mode takes the detail of my work. I also used when I went to a theater show for my reserch, I was at upper` floor and the actors were so tiny, but the zoom worked very well. Sometimes it goes slow to take photos, but once you got understand the timing of pushing button, you will be fine. I think this is the best buy for poor art students :-) recommended!
olympus fe100.......2006-03-01
Having looked through lots of reviews and listened to advice from friends, I decided that the fe100 would be the ideal first digital camera for me. Having bought one I feel that I have made the right decision.
First of all it is so easy to use. A quick flick through the manual and off you go. It's so straight forward.
The picture quality is very good and the installation disc is easy to follow. Overall an excellent choice.
Basic, simple use, nice macro features.......2006-02-16
It is a very simple digital camera, for people just needing to shoot brainless pictures. As all digital cameras of this kind AF is slow and you miss the action most of the time. If you need such features go for a digital SLR, period. Do not expect high results with flash neither as subjects are too iluminated and washed from the background too dark - for good results buy a digital SLR and a dedicated flash gun. For normal outside pictures the camera works great. As for all digital cameras of this kind, without tripod the pictures are not sharp as there is very low support (two hands at max). Therefore I really miss the existence of a viewfinder in the camera that would let me add the support of the face, plus hands to shoot through the viewfinder with greater stability. Macro is great and works very nice, but always with tripod or a good stable support surface. So you need a camera for landscape, you shoot outside and you need simple but powerful macro these is a nice cheap camera.
So easy to use!.......2006-01-04
The Olympus FE100 was my first digital camera and I found it so simple to use. Some digital cameras can be really complicated to use but the FE100 was so easy to just pick up and use, straight from the box! With its 28mb internal memory I could take upto 29 HQ pics. Also the computer software included was really simple too. I found the red eye editor facility extremly helpfull although I didn't need it much as the camera usualy cuts it out. Overall this camera is very good value for money!
