I don't own this and I'm sure it's a great camera but when will sony realise that memory stick sucks - it's a cynical money draining outrage.
My laptop and PDA and other cameras do not take it. This means shelling out more money for new cards and hardware to read it. The cards themselves are ridiculously overpriced relative to similar capacity SD.
I for one won't be buying any sony products until they switch to using SD like everyone else.

My dog 'ate' my Sony T33, I ordered a T9 (in black to match my V3) from Amazon on Friday - it arrived Monday 8a.m.,I loved the T33 but the T9 is something else. I have only one thing to say about Sony/Amazon - Outstanding, Thank you both.

great camera, great pictures, tiny size...
i got the black one and it's awesome.
i don't really need 6mp, but i tried a few shots and i could zoom in and read car number plates that were 100's of yards away, that i couldn't see with the naked eye...
i'm only realy interested in basic "vga" or 1mp shots..."party shots" as i call them...but when you take wildlife or pictures of flowers in 6mp, they look awesome.
great build quality, great products, DAM Sony should pay me for this!

great little snapper.......2006-03-25
Ok, there will be better cameras out there, I'm sure, but this is great for a number of reasons:
- very small and can fit in any pocket just like a wallet(I travel a lot taking snaps so fantastic!)
- excellent start-up an shutter lag times (never miss a shot)
- excellent quality (both the camera itself and photo quality)
- video shooting so easy and good quality
- so easy to use
- decent battery life and quick charge time (1-2 hrs) with the included charger
Ok, so I am a convert. I am just a snapper, but this fits the bill of being small, decent battery, quick charge and easy to use and feels 'robust'. I like Sony products. My last Sony digital camera is 5 years old and is till going strong depite being dropped and dragged around the world several times over (no exageration!).
If you have the money to spend on this little beauty then go for it. If you can afford a 2MB memory stick duo pro then you have a marriage made in heaven for all your snaps!
I'd recommend purchasing a screen protector as the display screen will get scratched in time without one. Pity Sony don't just include this, but you can purchase on-line.
You can also purchase a waterproof sports pack that will enable you to take the camera into water and even go snorkling. It works a treat!
Perhaps not for the 'semi' professionals or perfectionists of you out there as it's a simple camera, but, yes, I am pleased with my choice.
