Trust 5-port USB2 PCI card.......2007-11-14

It's rubbish. Wouldn't work with any of my 3 card readers, or my slide scanner. It corrupted the 'My Documents' desktop icon (how?), and simulated the 'Refresh' button on IE7 about every 15 minutes. The instructions were badly-worded and just plain wrong. I have now replaced it with a Belkin F5U220vuk, available from Argos, and all the problems have gone away! The Belkin is well worth the extra few quid because it works. It works so well that you don't need the instructions, which are excellently produced. Read them anyway, its worth doing just so you know how instructions should be written. I will never buy another Trust product.

Useless, buy a better card!.......2007-09-26

This is a poor quality, cheap card which wouldn't function correctly. It refused to work with a XP Pro machine, with USB1.1 on the Motherboard, this card would run at USB1.1 speeds, but regardless of how many driver updates you ran, it would never operate at USB 2 speeds.
Purchased a Belkin PCI USB 2 card, it worked first time, no problems, worth the few extra pounds!

This PCI-card does not work with most of the motherboard because the chipset VT6212L implements an optional functionality of the PCI standard version 2.2!
