item without any software to install it.......2007-08-04

for this item even the manufaturer's website does not provide any driver or software to install it to computer. so it should be no use to any one unless if you have a working installation software. most of internet link for the driver does not work. it might be possible to obtain the software from buffalo telephone service in UK but i think you have purchase the cd from them. but buffalo's web site or most of download site doesnot have working driver with which you can install it to your computer.

Wireless Users Beware.......2007-09-28

This is an excellent mouse-mat, although it's more of a statement item than a mat!

Primarily constructed of anodized aluminium it's cool to the touch and the top surface, finished with PVC, is beautifully textured, perfect for those precision applications or hard-core gamers. If it gets dirty, covered in biscuit crumbs or you spill your tea onto it, then it simply wipes clean.

The bottom surface is covered with a padded silicon lattice that grips any work area without damaging it and provides just enough cushion to replicate that traditional mouse-mat feel.

The only negative is that the aluminium plate the mat is constructed of plays havoc with the radio signals from a wireless mouse - in my case one of the Microsoft Natural range. Even if the receiver is on the same level as the mouse (and mat) you'll need to place it within a foot or two to get a reliable signal. If the receiver is below the mat (such as under a desk or workstation) then the mat will block most, if not all of the signal and unfortunately won't be for you.
