Simple, effective AirPort alternative for Mac users.......2004-07-31
Bought this card for my Titanium PowerBook when all original Airport card disappeared from the Apple Store. I am now using it very successfully with the new Airport Express unit and have had absolutely no problems - as far as my Mac is concerned, it's an Airport card. I've never even opened the CD which came with it - just plug it in, and you're ready to go! Best of all, I know I can also use with my work laptop (a PC, of course) without any problems. A bargain!

I needed to buy a product that didn't require the user to be Technical.
I pretty much unboxed the unit and slotted it in to my PCMCIA and that was kinda it! a few minutes to configure the card for my Airstation and then i was of!
Perfect Signal and Perfect Connection ... now I can use my Broadband Connection at the bottom of my garden!

This is the third pcimcia card I now own and of the three the buffalo is the best! I have two others a prism2 belkin a 54g netgear and of those this one is the best it has the great facility to add an external aerial with a lucent type connector so that you can get a far better signal in old houses where the others just lose the plot completely and you end up fighting with your missus to get a better signal. The buffalo has proven(already) tough enough and better at giving consistent feedback with the icon showing how many bars of signal are available in the taskbar unlike the other that use windows own system to do this - it makes a surprising difference as it means you dont have a stupid message annoying all the time - just one glance and you know your chances.
