Novice.......2004-02-18
The printer has just arrived so it's probably a bit early to be doing this. I am a complete novice but even I managed to set it up and produced GREAT prints from my Cannon S 50. The only thing is I, and I'm sure others, want also to print from the computer so that I can 'fiddle' with the images. The book says connect using a commercially available USB cable! Why not include it? Why doesn't Amazon include it with their optional extras. Great printer, unfriendly exclusion. I don't even know where to get one.
Professional results from a compact little printer........2004-01-29
I brought the CP300 to complement my Canon A70 Powershot digital camera. I needed a printer that would be able to give me good results while being portable enough to make taking it to family events viable.
This printer is an absolute jem. It deluvers stunning results direct from your Canon or Pictbridge compatible camera. the resultant photos are on a par with anything you would get back from a developers. The colour depth is outstanding thanks to the dye sublimnation technique the printer uses when printing the photo.
If you are looking for a standalone photo printer then look no futher as this is a great little printer. My only critiscism is that in the box you only get enough ink and photo paper for 5 6"x4" prints so i suggest you order extra when you buy the printer.

I purchased the canon ixus 400 camera a while ago, and was lucky enough to have the canon CP-300 photo printer for christmas. i must admit i was sceptical, i've seen it on the tv ads and thought it can't possibly be that simple - but it is!! it's amazing quality, it's small, compact, reasonably priced, paper & ink isn't too expensive either. i'd definately recommend it to anyone!!

When I bought this printer I was not expecting much, as I do not print much so therefore I did not want to splash out. However, when I ran a test print, I was amazed! It is magnificent and crystal clear! I am now a printaholic. Its features are excellent and the best thing is that the cartriges are reasonably priced and the cartriges last for ages. It really does print like lightening!
