Bought this after reading the reviews and one said can be used on portable with just a loop aerial - and it did.

Beware!.......2006-05-19

I bought my box after checking I would be able to use it in our area. Unfortunately I can only get, at best, 3 additional channels over and above those I can get without it. I was told that this was down to the signal so replaced my aerial - no better. I was then told it was due to my location. I then borrowed a Sony VTXD 800. This gave me every additional channel straight away. You get what you pay for.

faulty.......2006-03-26

we got this box 2 years ago it was fine to start with but after about 4 months strang things started happening. on all the ITV and C4 channels the picture scrambled every few seconds. then now and next info started disapearing. the problem has mainly cleared up now though but when the boiler fires up the picture still scrambles and the now and next info is still not there.

I was attracted to this Freeview model by the write up in 'Computeractive' Magazine. The GDB3 was extremely easy to set up even using a rather ancient TV with a loose Scart socket. I was receiving good quality digital pictures in about five minutes. OK, it's probably not the 'bees knees' to the electronics experts but it certainly represents good value for money as far as I am concerned. Also congratulations again to the Amazon team for a very quick order turn round time of 2/3 days.

Excellent value product.......2005-11-02

I am happy to recommend this freeview box to anyone seeking good value for their money. I bought it for the TV in my son's bedroom - a portable tv with its own simple "wire circle" aerial. The box is set up with this aerial and gives perfect reception - better sometimes than we receive downstairs via the main house aerial. My son has never had a problem with the box in any way, and given that he is the usual teenage "channel hopper" I don't think there can be a higher recommendation. I'm certainly planning to buy another of these boxes as a Christmas present for my daughter for her bedsit!
