A Great Knight Rider DVD but..........2004-06-13
Playback have turned down the wrong road with this two disc set. Every single episode that is on this has been released before on either DVD or VHS. They are forgetting to put on the real good episodes on it like 'Goliath' and 'KITT vs KARR.' Although the DVD is great to watch because it has 6 great episodes of Knight Rider on them, they could have gone a bit further and put on episodes that haven't been on DVD before.
great DVD Knight Rider.......2004-05-10
I am so glad i bought The Best Of Knight Rider even though the pilot episode is on Vol 1 on DVD and VHS and the second Trust doesn't Rust is vol 1 on VHS. Let's hope that Universal Playback release a volume 2 of the best of Knight Rider and put the episodes KITT VS KARR and also Goliath Parts 1 and 2 and also Goliath Returns because in my opinion they are the best episodes of Knight Rider. So come on Playback let's have some episodes that have never been released before.
At last - more Knight Riders.......2003-11-19
It's been a while since series 3 on DVD. They have brought out a nice selection of episodes, however they could have replaced Knight of the Phoenix Part 1 and 2 with something else - mainly because it can be found on series 1! For someone like me who has series 1 2 and 3, I am only gaining 4 new episodes. I am however very glad about Trust Doesn't Rust. The other episodes are also worth getting the DVD for. If they added the episode in which KARR returns - WOW!! I understand that there are plans for more series' in 2004! Can't wait - I hope there won't be any repeat episodes found on DVD already in there.
Wow... More episodes we've had before.......2003-11-08
It's been 18 months since we had a Knight Rider offering. This is the best they could do, huh? Trust doesn't rust appears on VHS Vol. 1, Soul Survivor and Knightmares appear on VHS Vol. 2 and A Good Knight's Work appears on tape 2 of VHS box set 1. Knight of the Phoenix as far as I'm aware is the pilot, which is on VHS Vol. 1 and DVD 1 so something's gone astray there. Maybe these will be episodes previously unreleased - who knows? Whilst I'm glad we've got more episodes on DVD, I would have preferred new episodes that haven't been released before. Next time perhaps?
Mmmmmmmmmmm Hassellhoff + souped up Ford Capris!.......2003-11-04
Wooooooooooooooooow. I've just finished watching this DVD for the eigteenth and a half time today and it still isn't getting boring. You may be wondering how / why I am reviewing a DVD that isn't even released yet, well I'll tell you. I am the joint runner up Hassellhoffofof fan of the year and as such I get special privelages such as pre release material and back stage passes to his German 'concerts'. Anyway, let me describe the best points of this DVD:-
Episode 1, "Trust Doesn’t Rust" - 24mins 48secs David shouts "Dont mess with my chest wig!" whilst being chased by the evil talking Transit Van.
Episode 2, "Knight of the Phoenix Part 1" 13mins 23secs Michael Knight (Hassellhoff) screams "who's ya daddy?!" whilst dancing like a demented chicken with a hairy chest.
Episode 3, "Knight of the Phoenix Part 2" Unfortunately this episode was an anticlimax to part 1 as K.I.T.T (the talking Ford Capri) has an M.O.T (and fails due to bald tyres).
Episode 4, "Soul Survivor" This episode mainly comprises of the famous car chase between K.I.T.T and the Renault Clio all to the pumping soundtrack of Hassellhoffs own unique brand of underground acid funk jazz, namely "Hot Shot City" (Fantastic Record)
Episode 5, "Knightmares" 28mins 12secs Knight takes a wrong turn at the old warehouse and finds himself lost in Radcliffe.
Episode 6, "A Good Knight’s Work" This is the famous episode where Michael Knight trades in his talking Ford Capri for a Hillman Imp with go faster stripes and a spoiler.
To summarise I would say rush out and buy this DVD as if your life depended on it. Forget complex storylines, computer generated graphics and modern soundtracks, you cant beat a German with a mullet cruising round in a jet black Capri.
