Prepare to be Terminated!.......2007-06-15

This trilogy is amazingly good. Arnold Schwarzenegger is fantastic as the machine assassin created in the future by other machines and sent back in time. The first film involves him assassinating the leader of the human resistance in the future before he is even born and fails in that mission. The next two films are about him protecting the leader as a child/young adult from more advanced terminator creations. The storyline has been marvelous and I can't wait for Terminator 4 to come out which is supposedly the start of a new trilogy involving the war between the humans and the machines in the future. Hopefully it will be as good as the matrix trilogy, if not better.
So buy this trilogy - however it is £4 cheaper at dvd.co.uk inc. free delivery.

What a trilogy.......2006-07-17

This has got to be the the greatest sci-fi set of films in history. In my opinion its better than star wars!The theme song was very emotional. Terminator 1.... Best one in my opinion. A phenominon in those days.
Teminator 2..... Just a shade off being the best, but best terminator though (t1000}.
Terminator 3...... The worst one but still a great film, such a cliffhanger though. Termiantor 4 in 2008.He said he'll be back.
And he is back for teminator 4.

Great Trilogy.......2006-06-12

This is a great box set well worth getting, all 3 of the movies are great and the special features are really good aswell. Terminator 1 is a total ground breaking 1984 classic, Terminator 1 has 2 discs with loads of special features like deleted scenes, documentaries and loads more, Terminator 2 has to be the best of the 3 movies the special effects are fantastic and Terminator 3 is great aswell, all 3 of the movies have great acting and great story. This set is a must for your dvd collection and the price is fantastic aswell

Great Movies.......2006-03-29

The Terminator (5 stars) - Ok, so the special effects are a bit dated, but the main Terminator theme is amazing. Very rarely does a movie have an equal amount of story, character, emotion and action. All the actors were great, especially Michael Biehn. A lot of people say that Schwarznegger was great, but in my opinion Michael Biehn as Kyle Reese made the movie work. He gave it that believability that the movie needed.
Terminator 2 - Judgment Day (5 stars) - The special effects are still amazing. The main Terminator theme for this one is very emotional. This is also one of those rare movies where there is an equal amount of story, character, emotion and action. This one does what all great sequels do, in the fact that it extends on the characters and the story that was built in the original. Sarah Connor and The Terminator really shine in this one, but John Connor is left behind a little, although he has his moments at the end of the movie. Arnold Schwarznegger gets to shine in this one, with arguably his best performance to date in any movie. I never thought i would feel anything for him dying at the end, but he surprised me and proved a point, that everyone has their shining moment. Linda Hamilton had a landmark role for her, which no one will forget, and of course, how can you forget the T1000, Robert Patrick who hasn't actually done much since.
Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines - (5 stars) - This was once again one of those rare movies, which expands on story and character. It has a lot of story, character, action and emotion. John Connor's character finally gets the attention that was lacking slightly in T2 and the story is expanded in a way which ends the trilogy nicely. Although some say the movie was simply action, i disagree. Yes, there is a lot of action, but each action scene is done very well, and tells a story in itself, paying off what was mentioned in the first two movies. I also felt very emotional at the end when John finally accepts that he has to become this leader one way or another. I also liked Katherine Brewster aswell, who could certainly be more in a future movie. This one leaves just enough room for another one, which is great, because there is a lot of story which can still be told.
Overall - Well, if i'm really harsh, then i'll have to say that the second Terminator film is the best one, but i personally feel they are all unique and great in their own way.

Good box set but there are better ones............2006-03-21

You definately can not moan about the price as it is a real good one.

Having said that, with all the 'special', 'collectors' and 'ultimate' editions each of these 3 movies have been released under, you can get more quality if you wish. I recommend that you either try to get the hard-to-find 'SkyNET Edition', featuring a total of 6 DVDs w/ tons + tons of bonus magterial or the so called 'Terminator BOX', which was released in Germany and also contains 6 DVDs with un-real amount of extra footage - On both box sets you have English Audio w/ 5.1 Dolby Digital + multiple subtitle options - If you can not find either of them, this one on Amazon is still the best package available.

In any event, looking forward to Part 4, once Arni is not in charge of California anymore (smile).
