Amazon.co.uk Review
Opinions remain divided on Disney's ongoing policy of making straight-to-DVD sequels to some of their classic hits, of which Cinderella: A Twist In Time is the latest example. In this particular case, it's actually a second sequel, and while it improves on the film before it, it still can't hold a torch to the original.
The story this time finds the evil stepmother zipping back in time and undoing the previous work of the fairy godmother. So no slipper, no dress and Cinders with little chance of going to the ball. It's hardly original, but it still works as a neat twist, and there's a fair few ideas in Cinderella: A Twist In Time worthy of merit.
What's disappointing, in common with many of Disney's new breed of sequels, is that it's so unambitious. While obviously produced to a tighter budget, there are nonetheless sparks that things are working here, tempered by a ruthless adherence to formula that holds it back.
The end result is still an improvement, and it's not too bad a film. Crucially for parents, though, Cinderella: A Twist In Time is likely to easily entertain the under-tens for just over an hour, and as a result, we suspect we've not seen the back of Cinders just yet

Excellent Adventure for Little Princesses.......2008-01-12
I get irritated by adults who review children's films and rate them poorly. This is a film for children and should not be subjected to critical review by adults. My four year old princess thought it was great. For her it was a perfect follow-up to the original (she didn't analyse the voices!) Everytime she thought Cinderella had won through there was another twist which had her gasping and shouting at the screen to make the Prince realise he was making a mistake. Her favourite part was Cinderella marrying the Prince at the end and the step sister being nice after all.
Thoroughly recommended for all 4 year old princess!
v disappointed.......2007-02-22
i was really looking forward to seeing this film, probably like most of you are now, however i was very disappointed. i remember loving cinderella the original its one of my favourite childhood memories!! however i watched this and its storyline is lame, the characters all sound different, dont seem anything like they were in the classic and its so short! before i knew it it had finished. i was bored most of the time but thought id watch it til the end then it ended and i was hugely disappointed!! i wouldnt watch again and wouldnt recommend nothing relaly happens. dont waste your money. stick to the originals.
A true Fairy Tale.......2007-02-17
I did not think you could take a classic and change it as good as this.
The good still win through and i love the twist that Anastasia (step sister to Cinderella) is not a bad girl after all.
The mice were hilarious in their versions of charades!
My 3 year old will enjoy this version for years to come.
this really is a twist in time!.......2007-02-12
having loved the first part of cinderella, i was shocked to hear there was a second one. i'm even over the moon now there is a third one and this one seems to relate more to the first one than the second one does. i've seen the trailer and i really can't wait to see it. it truly is the answer to many fan's questions as to wonder what would of happened if cinderella didn't marry the prince after all.

"It sa magic!".......2007-08-11
For anyone that has seen and loved the first Cinderella, you will equally love if not prefer the second - which is generally not the case. My twin boys (yep boys love Princesses too!) ask for A Twist in Time over the original. Where the first one is a classic love story with a happy ending which is totally essential to your childrens collection, the second is naughty! When the Fairy Godmother's wand falls into the wrong hands who knows where the magic will take them all. By turning back the clock could the ending be very different? Will Anastasia marry the Prince? - Surely not! Will the Step Mother take over the Palace? Will Cinderella get her man? Like in the first one, the mice steel the show with a great singing and dancing routine and the one liners from the other ugly sister are really quite funny too. This is definitely one that Parents can watch over and over and over again with our little ones (we all know what that feels like!) and still come away smiling. Highly recommend the box set and as the DVD's come seperately in their own proper boxes you can always pass on the first DVD as a gift if you already have it as I'm sure this is a better buy than buying seperately.
Cinderella / Cinderella a twist in time.......2006-12-28
With disney now concentrating on sequels, midquels and prequels to its "classics" line of feature films it were only a matter of time before cinderella was treated to one with the options wide open at end of the first installment.
But mind you how many other people have chatted or thought "what if that slipper didnt fit?" well nows your chance to find out with this all new digital animated alternate story of Cinderella a twist in time. i have seen a few clips and read some rewiews from the states and it promises to be an interesting film. i will buy as would any serious Disney collector. wont be released with 1&2 as a trilogy but in conjunction with 1.
Hope this was a tiny bit helpful
