Simple, fun, educational and she loves it.......2008-02-27

My 19 month old granddaughter loved this Maisie dvd immediately, and its use of colours and numbers is gently educational too. The little stories about everyday things balance repetitiveness and variety and the story line holds her attention. "In the Night Garden" (too long, too slow, too repetitive) doesn't seem to hold her attention for long, despite the hundreds of thousands of pounds that have been spent on making it. She's started to say "off!" to "Night Garden" after five minutes and hand us the Maisie dvd instead.

Excellent - fun and educational.......2007-12-07

I recently bought this DVD for my 2 year old son. He absolutely loves it and constantly asks for it along with his other Maisy DVD 'Maisy's Farm'. The colours, characters, simple plots, and gentle pace make Maisy perfect for younger children

All of the episodes in this DVD help children to learn the numbers 1-10 and the colours. This is done in a subtle and fun way through the storylines and it has really inspired my little boy with his numbers and colours. The episode where Maisy is driving the train is brilliant. Groups of animals climb aboard each of the ten trucks finishing with a pyramid of ten piglets! There is lots of repetition which children love and which aids learning. The episode where Eddy the elephant and Maisy are painting the shed is simply delightful and is great for teaching little ones about colour.

I only got this a few weeks ago and my son's knowledge of numbers and colours has really taken off. He now counts everything from his teddies and toys to the peas on his plate. The numbers aren't necessarily in the right order - but hey, it's a start!

I cannot recommend this DVD enough. It is colourful, fun, educational, and excellent viewing for preschoolers.
