A Disgrace!!!.......2008-01-26

Every Christmas we sit down to watch the Muppet's Christmas Carol. The only difference this year was that half the film was missing!!!!

I made the mistake of replacing my VHS copy with the DVD, DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!!! I couldn't believe that this was an edited shorter version of the original film.

This is an amazing film - if it ain't broke DON'T FIX IT!!!

This film is brilliant. I really like the original version of The Christmas Carol but find it boring to watch year after year so I bought the Muppets version of the classic and I have to say its brilliant!!! Michael Caine is superb as Scrooge and all the muppet characters are so entertaining. Ok, its abit odd at times but I really did enjoy the film. The important message Dickens was trying to get across in his story is still here and this movie will make for great family viewing.

The Best Christmas Movie EVER.......2007-12-13

Ok I take on board the cut which is a great shame, but this still has to be the Best Christmas Movie, the best version of "A Christmas Carol" and has our entire family smiling every year as we have played it every Christmas since it came out (in video!!)

Ruined a perfectly good film!!.......2007-12-05

I bought this on DVD as I hadn't seen the film in years but when I sat down to watch it was gutted when the key scene with Belle's song was cut! The story now makes no sense! Scrooge goes from being a hardened miser to a blubbering fool with no emotional impetus! Now off to search for the VHS version which apparently has the song included!

It is a great shame that Belle's song has been cut.

I contacted the Hensons when I discovered this and was told the actress who plays Belle owns the copyright to the song and refused permission to include it on the DVD.

Still, the younger generation who never saw it on VHS won't know it is missing and will love the film.
