What a Quality Product!.......2008-01-03
I have been playing guitar for over 40 years. This Christmas, I was bought a Fender guitar outfit, in which, was the shortened version of this DVD. I was so impressed with that, that I had to buy the full version. This is suitable for all levels of guitar playing. Keith Wyatt is an excellent instructor, who makes you feel that you are actually in a "face-to-face" lesson. If you are a beginner, then this is a definite "must have". If you have some experience, you can learn more from this. Well done Hal Leonard Corporation, and definitely well done Keith Wyatt!
i Rock.......2007-03-29
i thought i could never play as well as i did i bought this dvd thinking i wouldnt be to good at following it but now 'i rock' i think this is by far the best tutor dvd for the guitar!!!
Excellent, especially for beginners.......2006-03-05
I had never played the guitar before buying this and think it is very clear, helpful and not too repetitive or boring. It is much more useful that i thought it would be and i think the practice tracks are great. I don't think you could learn as much from just a book.
faaantastiiiic.......2006-01-17
The one and only DVD for the guitarist beginner. Keith Wyatt is fantastic, he explains everything so calmly and goes through each step slowly so you can hear it and follow it easily, theres plenty of close ups of the fretboard so you can see exactly where your hand should be. His teaching method is really relaxed and you don't feel asthough he's just sat there just showing off, it's like he wants to help you. You learn about scales, chords, chord shapes, rhythms, and all the tricks (pull offs/hammer ons, vibrato, stickato etc) and then he teaches you a blues, country (the best one in my opinion) and rock solo along with a seperate ryhthm for each one, you also have practice tracks with little beats you can play along with (like a sing along-but a guitar along!) I have an actual guitar teacher like Keith and after a week with the DVD he was amazed at how sudden my playing had advanced! I'm now 18 and I've been playing a year this February and can play everything on the DVD easily so now I'm looking for a more advanced one and will probably get his famous blues one.

Never too young to start!.......2007-03-01
Well, I last had a guitar when I was 12, now at almost 49 I purchased a Fender acoustic guitar (people my age normally buy Harley Davidsons!!) and got a taster dvd with the pack. I decided to buy the full dvd version and can really rate it as it has taught me things I never really understood out of a book in my younger days. I think it gives a fairly, although basic, good understanding of the guitar and would certainly encourage any beginner to buy it. Keith Wyatt has a good approach with the subject. My only gripe? An extra pair of hands to rewind/pause when watching so I can still keep both hands on my guitar!!!
Almost perfect for beginners.......2005-03-02
This DVD concentrates on teaching the basics of playing the guitar and not on how to play any songs. It is good to use to understand the foundations of chords and keys etc. However, it gets boring when not playing songs you know and like.
great.......2004-01-22
for a first time guitar player this dvd is an excellent starter, it provides you with all the knowledge that you need when starting to play an acoustic guitar. I would recommend it to anyone!

Cant wait till this is released!!!!!USHER AHHHHHHHHHH.......2005-02-22
I first saw this mini movie a couple of weeks ago, when they showed it on channel 4's (T4) it was an usher special and I COULD NOT miss it!! I was very impressed with it,and it also cleared up some worrys I had in my head after seeing usher's "no story line" caught up video, cause it actually does make sense after seeing the mini movie and it follows on from the story,It kind of reminded me of michael jacksons "moonwalk" movie, which i liked. In the mini movie/long music video usher sings "red light", "seduction", "Caught up" and something else at the begining i can't remember! The leading lady is the stunning Joy Bryant-you know the best friend of Jessica Alba in "Honey" she plays the Vixen who steals Usher's "U" chain and other rish mens money.Guest appearances are made from P.diddy, Noami Campbell and Ryan Seacrest(American Idol Presenter).
P.s Funniest parts are when p.diddy and NC are bickering! and when usher has his chain stolen he says that "Usher without the 'U' is like Superman without the 'S' " HAHAHA my poor baby!
Anyway I hope you liked this review, and rate me well!! oh yeah dont forget to buy this fantastic dvd!!! XX

Disappointing.......2007-11-21
I was surprised, delighted and a little sceptical when I saw this was released. Having been at the festival and leaving (like many similar minded folks) before Genesis, I wanted to fondly recall the event, Brand X, Tom Petty (fantastic) and Jefferson Starship (good even without the hoped for Grace). None of these make the DVD save from a pitiful few, average quality photos.
The DVD is very short and frankly I can't think of anything to recommend it.
Amazon.co.uk Review
Much as he loves his post-'Stones blues 'n' roots supergroup, the quiet bassist is content to remain just that in Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, captured in the studios of the German TV music programme Ohne Filter--Musik Pur ("Unfiltered pure music"--snappy, or what?). The musicians give a good account of a selection from the band's recorded output; look out in particular for the excellent "Walking One and Only", "Anyway the Wind Blows" and the stonking workout at the end of the concert.
BWRK includes Graham Bond, Gary Brooker, Georgie Fame, Albert Lee, Wyman's songwriting partner Terry Taylor plus various other players, all of whom clearly love what they're doing. Fame seems to be the frontman a lot of the time, a role which suits him, so it's too easy to forget that it's the little chap with the tiny hands somewhere behind him who's responsible for this classy little unit.
On the DVD: Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings on disc offers standard TV 4:3 picture but a choice of sound formats (Dolby 5.1 or 2.0 and PCM Stereo) and has various extras including artist biographies, a self-congratulatory interview with the show's producer and a rather pompous account of the label's recording techniques. --Roger Thomas
