Good workout, worth a try........2007-11-25
Agree with concerns regarding sound recording (loud music makes it harder to hear presenter). However, if you want an energetic workout this is a good option combined with eductional points. I think it will be of great benefit to keeping fit during and after pregnency. (Review by my wife!)
Great exercises, terrible quality dvd.......2007-09-07
As previous reviewers have said the production on this dvd is shocking. So bad that I don't think it should be sold. This is a great shame as it contains a good workout for pregnant women. It is as though they filmed this with a camcorder and the sound was only recorded using a camera microphone - this is unacceptable for a product which is for the public to buy. Nobody at the company who made this dvd can be proud of this product and you feel as a customer they are taking the mickey slightly releasing it at all.

I thought the dvd was okay, although some of the moves were a bit fast particularly for someone in her third trimester. Necessary instructions(depending on stage of pregnancy)should be given before and during exercises). The sound quality becomes tolerable after you've listened to it for more than once.
Actual WORKOUT for pregnancy!.......2007-05-18
I absolutely love this DVD. I've tried lots of other pregnancy exercise DVDs, but they're all pretty wimpy and focus more on stretching (which is important, of course) or on very gentle moves, which just wasn't enough to keep me in shape while expecting. This DVD, however, is MAGNIFICENT. Sure, the production quality is abosolutely terrible -- I was put off the first time I watched it by its amateurishness, but the quality of the exercises themselves soon shone through. The aerobics section really does make you sweat without straining your pregnant body, and the legs and abs sections have kept parts of my body in trim that practically lost all ability to function the first time I was pregnant.
The real gold stars for this video, though, go to the pelvic floor exercises. The instructor reminds you about your pelvic floor throughout all of the exercises, then the pelvic floor section itself deals with the front and rear passages as well as the birth canal. When I had my first baby, I was shocked to find how devastated the front and rear passages were by the birth process, and the challenging exercises in this video are what finally enabled me to get my muscles in these areas back under control. I have recommended this video to all of my pregnant friends as a result!

I was hesitant to buy this due to the reviews regarding poor sound quality and instructions, but decided to go ahead with it because I really do not like Yoga and Pilates.
I bought the dvd when I was 30 weeks pregnant. I am not super fit but had been making an effort to go for long walks in the mornings. However, the dark and cold and rain were making it hard for me. Still, I wanted a DVD that would make me feel like I was working out.
The video is great. The warm up, aerobic, and leg sections are fantastic. My husband did the routines with me and even he was feeling some burn. Yes, the sound could be better, but the only place I had trouble was during the abdominal section. I would have wished for a few more arm excercises, but over all a great video that I had no problem following that really felt like a workout without being too intensive.
I like that you can watch the section about how to do things seperate to the DVD itself, and then get on with it. Also, regarding the sound, once I've done the routines a few more times, I plan to turn the sound off and play my own music.

Surprisingly impressive!.......2006-01-12
Now I get easily irritated by instructors but this was fantastic! Cindy is very normal and not stupidly perfect or fake-tanned and the instructor is really lovely. As an ex-dancer I've done a lot of varied training and this is completely professional. Clearly and safely explained, it covers the whole body almost without you realising it!
I haven't just had a baby but post-natal workouts are often very good for toning the body and this is no exception - it's not a heavy cardio DVD but you do sweat. I got a fantastic body in a few weeks - all over! I highly reccomend this, particularly if, like me, you like a relaxing workout in the morning (you can choose from a 12-minute, 30-minute and 45-minute routine). Very satisfying!

...there is no safety postnatal safety advice. I feel this really let the DVD down. Other than 'take it easy we've all had different deliveries' there was nothing else.
I think this is only suitable for women who are very aware of the do's and dont's of postnatal exercise and not for beginners.
Other than that it's a really good workout, nicely filmed, good music and a good routine which works.
Excellent Fitness Programme.......2004-10-21
Just a short review. I think this is the best fitness video/dvd I have used. It is not for people into excessive fitness but is a very good routine for those getting back into fitness/short on time/or those that are building their fitness up. It is split into 3 workouts that can be done all together or seperately. A friend of mine has also used this to get back into shape after having a baby and said it was excellent. You dont need much in the way of equipment either. The DVD edition is the best because it is easier to start and stop.
