Amazon.co.uk Review
Though promoted as a "full-length holiday movie", Mickey's Magical Christmas is more of a Christmas special spin-off from Disney's House of Mouse TV series. The premise is something like an animated Muppet Show: Mickey, Goofy and Donald run a nightclub for an audience of Disney characters, with plenty of songs, skits and cartoons. There's not much story to this holiday special--Mickey whips up an impromptu party for stranded guests and instils a "Humbug" quacking Donald with the holiday spirit--but it's full of sight gags and comic bits with dozens of Disney characters, from Ludwig von Duck to Pumba and Timmon. The special begins with the short Pluto's Christmas Tree and ends with the entire 1983 short film Mickey's Christmas Carol. However, the highlight is a comic retelling of The Nutcracker with Donald as a reluctant Mouse King (complete with phony Mickey Mouse ears) and John Cleese as the exasperated narrator. The special is utterly unmemorable as a whole, but nonetheless bright, light, cute and sure to keep the attentions of young tots. --Sean Axmaker, Amazon.com

Dreadful.......2006-11-20
This is one of the worst Disney animations I have ever seen (and there are quite a few poor Disney videos out there). The animation quality is very poor, the voices sound nothing like the original characters, and the whole thing is very very dull. Tedious in the extreme. Strictly for very young children only. Avoid if you value your sanity.
an hour of disney and christmas, you can't go wrong.......2003-05-09
a feauture length edition of the hit series House of Mouse sees mickey and co having to cope when they get snowed in. the House of Mouse is a club where the disney characters (good guys and villains) meet to have fun, listen to the guest performers and watch cartoons. Snowed in at the House of Mouse is more fulfilling to me as i do not think it is as hurried as the other House of Mouse feature "Mickey's House of Villains". The time seems to be more wisely seperated and everything has a much more natural flow to it. For children adults and Disney buffs it's something to have in your collection. The one small problem is that the DVD is a bit lacking in Bonus features, but it's a minor complaint.
Fabulous year round entertainment for a toddler.......2002-02-19
My daughter, now 2, has been watching this since this Christmas. It hasn't been put away for next Christmas as it's an alround classic. It tells the story of Scrooge and A Christmas Carol in a fun and amusing way for young children. Lots of lively music and includes all of your favourite Disney characters. My daughter is always saying: "Mickey on please!" I'm just waiting for other Mickey related films!
