My Gulity Pleasure!.......2008-01-21
Ok... so I'm 18 years old, and I grew up with Thomas The Tank Engine on the television.
I still love Thomas now (not the new episodes, they are rubbish, why they brought it loads of new characters and ruined the show... I will never know!)
I had some friends over a few nights back, and what was kind of embarassing was that they found my Thomas and Friends dvd collection while we were looking for a movie to watch! (I have all of the seasons that have been released, 7 so far!)
They have teased me about it non-stop since the party, but I don't really care... Thomas is and will always be my favourite television programme. It is just amazing.. I love Ringo Starr's narration in the earlier seasons and I love the way they animated the expressions on the engines' faces :)
I think I love it now for the same reasons I loved it when I was a little kid... it was the best show on television, all the others kind of... well, they weren't good, let's put it that way. It's the same now.
Buy this dvd collection, if you loved Thomas when you were young it will take you back to those days, and if you love Thomas now.... well, JUST BUY IT!
Not as described.......2007-11-27
This is a boxed set of 5 discs containing series 1 to 5, not all 5 series on a single disc as advertised. I probably wouldn't have bought it if Amazon had bothered to describe it accurately.

This realy is the bee's knees.. i have [...] son and i must say im so happy he likes them..I used to watched them like mad in the 80's when i was a nipper, i agree with above posts these really do teach great morals to young children.. I think teletubies and stuff like that are just brain washing kids.. BRING BACK THOMAS!!
Thomas is the best.......2007-01-04
this is a little embarrassing but i'm 14 and i watched thomas all my life and i still do and this is a great dvd for kids and people of all ages thiss has the first five seasons of thomas which were very good because it only goes downhill from here i've seen most of the episodes from thoseseasons on t.v. but i'm getting them on dvd because they were that good and i even used my own money to get it and i'm greedy see thats how could these are i used my own money but yea if your looking for something to keep your kids quiet and teach them valuable lessons "because it helped turn me into what i am today which is a nice polite gentleman that has very good manners and always says please and thank you" this is a good dvd for you and if you want to know more just ask me and i will be glad to tell you anymore information you need to know i will even suggest episodes that i thought were very good. bye and thank you.
Excellent collection of Thomas the Tank Engine.......2005-11-28
This is a great collection to own for little ones who are avid train lovers. The stories are well and clearly narrated by Ringo Starr. The stories are both entertaining as well as educational especially if you just happen to live by a railway station as we do. And the graphics expressing the emotions of the various trains are well done. The only thing I didn't like was the rather repetitive theme song at the start and end of each episode, however my boy was quite oblivious to it.
