At last a Cardcaptors movie.......2004-01-26

I been watching Cardcaptors movies recently, I even watched the 2nd movie and they are both brillant. I been watching it all over again and again, I must say over 100 times now (I never get bored of it!)

This movie is about Sakura wining a trip to Hong Kong not knowing she was actually summoned by a powerful sorceress and the sorceress demands Sakura to bring her Clow Reed, but Clow Reed is dead how can it be possible????? The sorceress catches Sakura's friends because she did not bring her Clow Reed and now it is up to Sakura to save them, can she save them????? well you got to watch it to find out I don't want to give it all away, so make sure you buy this Cardcaptor fans. You will also get to meet all of Li's family for the first and only time (except for his dad who passed away)

Although I enjoyed the movie I find the ending hard to understand, but I enjoyed it and thats more important. I especially love the music and background because it is lovely. now if only they release the 2nd Cardcaptors movie soon, because its bigger and better than the 1st movie.

cardcaptors the movie is a step up from the tv series, the film is set somewhere around the first season of cardcaptors when sakura has to catch the clow cards. the movie is just as much fun to watch as the tv series, the film has plenty of joke and a times very sad. anyways it would be great fun to watch it's not just for children you know!, i did not want to reaveal the story incase i spoil it for anyone, just one more thing
" expect the unexpected " as kero would say.

Sakura wins a trip to Hong Kong! Was it luck or a magical coincidence? Expect the unexpected!

Cardcaptors the movie is very interesting to watch. It is just like watching a longer episode from the series although it gets a bit more serious at times. However there are quite a lot of jokes in this film and it’s still as fun as the series. You’ll get to see Sakura and her friends having fun but also getting into great adventures. One thing I like about this film is that there are so many characters involved and we get to see some new interesting faces, but I will say no more or it’ll spoil your viewing experience!

The designs are beautiful as usual, CLAMP’ s trademark, but the transfer to the DVD is not exactly the best. The picture is not as crispy and clear as you’d expect but it is still good quality animation. I don’t think it’s quite noticeable anyway as the plot is way too interesting to pay attention to such small details. Another complaint is that they could have offered the viewer the option for the Japanese version and subtitles, in the tradition of most anime DVDs. On the other hand, the menus are beautifully designed and feature well-known Cardcaptors tunes (from the dub). As far as the extras are concerned, they are not that many. In fact there are just two music videos and the trailer. Although the music videos are quite funny and slightly weird, they are an interesting addition to the DVD, as they are both groovy songs by Froggy Mix, pretty cool! Keep an eye out for the dance routines (lol).

Bottom line is, this film has everything you’d expect from the Cardcaptor series, lots of action, a magical atmosphere, funny moments, a bit of romance and pretty faces! For these reasons, I give this DVD five stars.

The card captors movie is really good!! It has got card capturing, ancient magic and a card full of mystic adventure. This movieis garanteed too satisfie any card captor fan. I really loved this film. Sakura , with then help of lee, madison keero etc must find a way too defeat the evil sorceress and set her spiruit free. Can sakura save Hong Kong from the wrath of the evil sorceress? Buy it and find out what an extradinary movie it is.

Very good movie, but extras could be better........2003-02-09

Sakura goes on holiday and takes Madison with her. They meet Li and Mei-Lin and end up pursuing an evil from Clow Reed's time (one of his lovers, actually.) The animation is good and the plot is interesting. The only downside about this DVD is that it is not bilingual. The only extras you get are some scary music videos, which although they guarantee a fair few laughs, do not suffice. I would have rather have this movie in both english and japanese, that way you could enjoy the original plot as well as the dubbed one. However, this doesn't really spoil the movie, but it would have been nice.
