Innocent entertainment - a very good laugh!! .......2008-01-07
Hi de Hi
After having seen first "You rang M' Lord?" I moved on to Hi De Hi and quite obvious there are similarities.
Both offer - on different levels - innocent, but very good humour. It simply makes you laugh a lot or smile. The cast is just brilliant and portray their characters to perfection. But I cannot help I like Su Pollard best....

HI DE HI 5 AND 6.......2006-10-26
At long last but well worth the wait series 5-6 offer some of the best episodes of the entire series.Paul Shane as Ted Bovis offers both sadness and laughter and Sue Pollard as the potty chalet maid is still trying to get her yellow coat.The only let down is the fact the packaging is just a normal DVD case with a sleeve and not the box as in previous releases.I hope we will not have to wait as long for series 7 to be released.

After waiting almost 2 years, Hi De Hi Series 5 & 6 is finally coming to DVD. Although i haven't got the DVDs yet, i have seen the episodes before and can tell you that if you're fans of Jimmy Pery and David Croft then buy this DVD. The episodes are amazing, the actors are outstanding.

Now i took a group of rainbows to see this live and i have never seen them enjoy something so much.
Hi5 really have something with the kids and it comes across in all their dvds. When it is put on i find myslef singing along with the kids!!!
If your kids like stories, music and laughter then this is for them as is any hi5 product.
whoever thougth of this idea must be a genius!

A MUST FOR HI 5 FANS!.......2005-12-31
My 3 and a half year old son only recently got into Hi 5...we tape them every morning so he's well versed. It was difficult to pick a DVD out because there are so many and they all seem very good. We've bought a few now but this one really stands out. Amazon offered a double DVD (Space Magic & Let's Celebrate). We also bought the Space Magic CD to go with it so he can travel in the car and listen to them. Gave him the CD just before Xmas and he loved it! On Xmas day, he was ecstatic at having the DVD too! Then we went on a 2 hr car trip to visit his grandparents which became a 4hr trip. The cd really earned it's money..kept him happy all the way...even we were singing along and smiling! Once we arrived, the DVDs played their parts too cos he wanted to show his grandparents the pix with it! Kept him amused for hours whilst we ate or got together with family. So be warned, you have to buy both the CD and the DVD of Space Magic together if you're going to travel. We had a slight prob with the DVD in that it burped at one point and became unsynchronised but within days of telling Amazon, a new pack arrived! Yet to try it..but I can highly recommend the Space Magic CD and/or DVD. There isn't a duff song on it! And Let's Celebrate is one of the better DVD's too.....although he prefers the Boom Boom Beat CD! Parents will end up loving these too! So much so, we're taking him to see them live in 2006 and I don't know which of us is looking forward to it more!

This DVD is Fab! if it were possible to wear a DVD out my daughter would have worn this one away completely! She absolutely loves Hi-5 and has all the Dvd's and this is her absolute favourite. The songs are totally catchy and you'll find yourself humming them as well, my little girl knows all the words to every song on the disc, even the "songlets"! I highly recommend this dvd to anyone with a hi-5 fan in the family or indeed any parent looking for an hour or so of peace (well not if you count the singing) Our Daughter loved it so much we bought her the accompanying CD!

Toddlers love it.......2005-09-26
Hi 5 works on many levels with kids. The 1-2 year olds enjoy dancing to the music and the raw energy of the show. The older ones enjoy the choroegraphy of the dancing and get into the story telling too. The wacky clothes and hairstyles of these Zany Australians makes for great entertainment for the grown-ups too. Oh and they do a really bad Irish accent sometimes which is hilarious!

Guaranteed to keep your little ones entertained..........2004-02-25
For those who have seen the kids show Hi-5 on tv, you'll know that their lively show of dancing, singing and stories captures the imagination of your kids and encourages them to join in. For those who are, as yet, unaware of the Australian gang, you don't know what you're missing. This DVD is just superb, a massive hit with both my 6 year old and 18 month old children - I'm even starting to sing along with their songs.

Brilliant!
My girls love Hi-5 and also love Christmas so this DVD combines both superbly. I was a bit worried that an Australian Christmas might confuse them (beach, BBQs, surfing etc) but the gang do a great job getting it right by focusing on the build-up to Santa coming. They also get some traditional Christmas carols in there.
Its Driving me Mad........2006-03-07
This DVD is fantastic !! My daughter asks to watch it at least twice a day. My daughter and I know all the words and dances, and she never gets bored, although it is starting to drive me mad, luckily I have ordered a couple more for variety !! I love the outfits and my daughter has learnt a lot from this DVD.

My daughter got this DVD for Xmas and I must say it has been on the tele for the last 4 weeks. I know every word of every song.
I particularly like when Shelly (the good looking Asian gal) makes a snowman out of sand and calls its... a sandman. Fab! Thing is, she keeps calling him snowman (eg "now you wont get sun burnt on your nose, that should keep you happy Mr Snowman). I keep shouting at the tele that its not a snowman, its a sandman. Still, better not confuse the kids.
Its clever how they use the Australian themes and weather to totally destroy the real image of Xmas. Xmas should be snowy no matter where you live. A family going for an Xmas day picnic on the beach and discovering an Xmas tree in need of decoration is not very festive now is it? The poor tree has to get swept into the ocean and cover itself in starfish and seaweed to get decorated.
The concert is great. Apart from the skinnier blonde not being able to project her voice very well and delivering flat notes. The choir are excellent and clearly enjoy the performance judging by the look on their faces. I like the idea of Santa playing hide and seek with a bear that has no Xmas relevance at all.
This is a DVD you can watch year round cos it is not a real Xmas DVD. Enjoy it in July if you like. Well worth the money cos you dont have to play it only in December!
