I agree with the previous comment. I find it hard to believe that this could be issued, as the quality is totally abysmal. I enjoyed the movie on TV, but when it came to watching it on this DVD it was a total disappointment.
Are the later issues from a different copy?

The picture quality of this dvd is a disgrace, it shouldn't be on sale. It plays like a pirated copy.
Imagine getting a damaged cine reel of this film
putting it in a hired a projector and then playing it in your living room.
You then set up your digital video camera copy it,
transfer it to a dvd and sell it. This is the quality of this dvd.
Its full of scratches & dirt, with the edges faded, picture jerks around a bit, not always sharp.
- it's really that bad.
No matter what the price is ,it's a total rip off.
This is a pity, the late John Houseman is the principle actor, the reason we bought it.
It's a really good family film spoilt by picture & sound quality.
