Innnocent Lies is a very scary thriller. I kept jumping at parts. I didn't like the aristocat family and thought the ending was very clever.

I know 2 Thomas DVDs - this is the best one.......2002-06-30

This is a better DVD than the Peep Peep Party DVD, with more episodes on it. As you will know, kids want to watch the same episodes over & over, so better to have more to choose from.

One tedious aspect they both share is the inability to skip over the title sequences!! Why do they do that? We've paid for it, so why do we still have to watch their adverts?

That said, if your child likes Thomas, this is the DVD for you.

Not enough episodes for price paid.......2003-01-23

There are 100 episodes of the new Noddy being shown on Channel 5. I find it a very poor to include only six episodes for a DVD/Video. Does this mean that there are going to be a dozen DVD/Videos released

This is the only one and last one I will buying for the price I paid, unless the makers of the DVD/Video include at least a dozen episodes per release.

an absolute hit with my 2 and 4 yr olds... the little one is waking up every morning, asking "nonny? nonny?" and running straight to the vhs... my only purchase from amazon so far for which I felt I had to write a recommendation...

Arrrrggghhhh!!!.......2002-11-06

"More Noddy", "More Noddy" "Want see Noddy now" are the repeated cries of my 2 year old daughter. I purchased this video just over a week ago, it has been played at least 20 times since. For me it is starting to become a little irritating, both the songs and sound effects (Noddy's car for one) are starting to grate a little. However, for my daughter the joys are endless. Each story is superbly animated and all have a lesson to be learnt. Great for kids between 2-5.

Download the Theme tune an leave the prog to your memory.......2007-07-30

It was with fond feelings that I bought a copy of Jamie and His Magic Torch having had the theme tune imprinted on my Brain. Unfortunately that is as far as my memory went.

As opposed to the excellent Danger Mouse or WIllo the Wisp, this is a kidz programme without any elements of interest for people over the age of 5. Like the Yellow Submarine without the origionality or the Beetles. You would need to be drunk or high to appreciate this now a days.

If you have children they may appreciate this but I would have thought they'd prefer something their friends have heard of.

A classic! Not to be missed........2001-07-07

"Jamie and the magic torch" surely belongs close to the top of the list of surreal children's television series of the late seventies. From the sleepy, silent moonlit street on which Jamie lives - we are catapulted (via the thundering and catcy who-could-forget-it piano music) into the totally contrasting world of colours and sounds where the adventures take place. Bizarre and often non-sensical plots, peculiar and abstract (yet devilishly inventive) characters, surreal dream-like background music and neverending landscapes with oddly-coloured trees and skies. Pure quality!

The picture on this DVD is shown in the original 4:3 ratio and the image is excellent - within the confines of it being a fairly old series, it proves to be sharp, clear and colourful with very little noise. Sound also is clear and bright.
