Wonder.......2008-01-14

My son was grumpy while eating.. He didnt play with toys initially.
But, after seeing this video, he started to play with toys and eat his food without any trouble..
Infact , for the first few times, he was glued to this video.. But , now while playing, he just turns to those kids in the Video and smiles at them.. thinking they are playing with him!!!!!!!!!!

Lovely.......2007-07-26

Wonderful little dvd for babies who indeed, love watching babies.

My son giggles and coos along with this DVD. The percussion/music that accompany the film is spot on too.

As with the comments by S.MURPHY (below) - we are all entitled to our own opinion, but come on! You insult not only the authors, but the babies who appear in the film too. Perhaps your baby would find a DVD on electromagnetic induction more entertaining?!

Anyway, thumbs up for this lovely (& natural) DVD.

A fun DVD for babies.......2007-07-13

The concept is simple yet effective. Babies do like seeing other babies and that is exactly what this DVD provides. Okay it is not going to win an oscar but it is quite entertaining and if it brings a smile to my babies face that is ultimately what counts!

Quality Baby DVD .......2007-06-17

This is the best baby product I have ever seen , I dont know what the last person was watching , but it was not this product , as the footage is great , lovely children , quality images , and all the children which have seen it which I know of love it , they sit transfixed , watching other children having fun. Thoroughly recommended to all parents to watch with their children , and also allow their children to watch on their own. Five stars from me !

THE WORST DVD EVER.......2007-03-26

I have never felt srongly enough about an item to write a review until now. This DVD took me back to GCSE Communication Studies videoing and editing (those that failed anyway!!).
The authors must be either blind, or just plain laughing themselves to the bank. The footage of the (mostly ugly) babies is grainy and unprofessional to say the least.
All I can say to anyone thinking of buying this is firstly, dont, just save your money!!. Or if you really want a DVD of children at play, go to your local nursery with a camcorder even if you've never used one before I truly believe you will do a better job.
My baby sits still and appears to absorb the Brainy Babies DVD's but turns away bored with this one.

This is a great movie.
The music is brilliant, I think that "Guitar girl" needs to wash her ears out.
Ignore her review, the reason I say that is because she doesn't even realise that this is meant to be a funny and corny movie.

I love Johnny Depp and he is absolutely gorgeous as ever in this early film but I have to say i was surprised that he took part in this film because its SO not his style, I thought he started out in some cool indie film not a cheap grease knock off!!! I actually had to laugh out loud at most of it because it seemed like one big joke! Awful songs and the dancing....! SHOCKING! Not at all what I was expecting!!!

Jonny Depp in his pants? ROCK ON! I started watching this in VHS when I was about 9 years old, I know the film word for word, action for action, and I love it. Always have. I simply can't wait for it to come out on DVD! I normally hate "musicals" but this is in a league of it's own.

I think everyone should buy this film, its excelent! The music is great, and the acting is brilliant! Jonny depp is the most amazing actor, and this shows him in his earlier stages of acting!

If you're a fan of musicals, then this is a must-see or must-buy for your collection.
Filled with fun songs, this film is cleverly done.
When leader of the Drapes, Cry-Baby (Johnny Depp) falls for the perfect square, he'll do anything to get her. Depp brings across a fantastic performance along with co-stars Ricky Lake and Iggy Pop.
With catchy tunes such as 'King Cry-Baby' and 'Please, Mr Jailer', you'll soon be singing along!
A definite must-see movie, for all fans of Johnny Depp. 10/10.
Definately my favourite movie, the soundtrack is pretty good too!

A notable early Marilyn Monroe film........2005-07-22

A classic 1950's film noir directed by the great Fritz Lang (The Big Heat), starring Barbara Stanwyck and Paul Douglas, based on the Clifford Odets play.

Stanwyck plays a good time girl fallen on hard times who returns to her dreary home town, where practically everyone works in the fishing industry. She hitches up with Douglas a faithful but dull fisherman, yet is soon distracted by the womanising Robert Ryan and before long passions run high.

Stanwyck, a marvellous actor, puts in an excellent performance as always. Douglas is a competent actor, but with a limited repertoire, i.e. he's the same in very film! Of special interest, and for many the main reason to buy this DVD, is an early performance by Marilyn Monroe. Her character is secondary to the main love story but none the less notable.

Clash By Night gave Marilyn a more substantial role than her other films of this period, (with the exception of Don't Bother To Knock - released the same year) and whilst less glamorous than in later appearances, the qualities that appealed to many over the coming years are remarkably evident, even in this smallish role.

The DVD includes a commentary by Peter Bogdanovich with audio interview excerpts of director Fritz Lang. Also included is the film's original enthusiastic trailer. Films runs 105 minutes.
