Great Cartoon. Awful Quality of DVD........2004-04-22

Henry's Cat is a masterpiece of a cartoon. A little gem. I was thrilledto see it available on DVD and at such a reasonable price but when Iplayed it I could see why it was so cheap. The quality of picture is poorbut worst of all the is the sound. While the soundtrack is audible thereis an annoying buzzing sound throughout. In fact my ten year old VHS copyis in far better nick than this. Buy with caution.

PLOT SUMMARY: Shirley MacLaine is the Gay Paree nightclub owner charged with indecency, and Frank Sinatra is the lawyer who defends, and falls in love with, her. Maurice Chevalier, Louis Jourdan co-star. Lively Cole Porter score includes "I Love Paris," "Let's Do It," "C'est Magnifique." ABOUT THE DVD: This is a Twentieth Century Fox release for the NETHERLANDS market (Region 2 PAL format same as in the UK, so no problem playing on all standard DVD players in this country). Some of the text on the rear of the packaging is in Dutch (and some in French), Menus are in English, so are easily navigated, the audiotrack is the original English (with French, Italian, German and Spanish options available if required). There are a range of subtitles on the disc, including English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish. The film is presented in widescreen format, it has a scene selection menus and the original theatrical trailer is included on the DVD.
