A Joy to Watch.......2004-02-14
A simple story about two young Irish country girls who move to Dublin. One is shy, the other is outgoing and lively. Perhaps the sheltered & strict Catholic upbringing in the country has had conversly different affects on these two girls.
I like the emotion and feeling of this film. As you laugh you also feel a sense of sadness. Rita Tushingham conveys such strong emotions in her thoughts and actions.
Ultimately the ending of this film is, I feel, upbeat and positive as the two girls take the boat and leave Dublin for London. Like so many thousands of others did (and still do).
It's a shame this DVD is only on Region 1.

He-Man is back.......2007-08-30
Contender have at last brought out three more volumes of one the great cartoons series every made.
80's cartoons really set the standard but made studios cheat and us PC's tho make more impressive shows.
He-Man was incrediblely popular and quickly be cult TV I am a kid of the 80's and am not ashamed to say this was one of the shows I watched.
When He-Man appeared on TV I was 5 years old I loved this series and was delighted when contender decided to relaese this season.
If yoy are like me you may be disgusted with the lastest version or just want to show your own children one of the best shows from your childhood this is great value for money as you get a massive amount of episodes plus the only double episode in the shows history both movies animated style are out also.
This triple boxset but you can also wait till nearer Chirstmas as Contender is releasing a boxset with all 130 episodes from season one in a boxset with many more episodes.
This He-Man is the best and one cult shows from the 80's the ten years that produced some of the best cult in history.
Buy this or the boxset later on this year and enjoy the best He-Man ever.
