Classic Espionage Entertainment.......2003-12-29

This is a glorious classic! McGoohan lends his character a sense of calm collectedness that Bonds like Connery or Brosnan never could. You know that even in the worst situation he's in control and he has some real experience and personal resources lodged up-his-sleeve for any tight situation. The atmosphere is enhanced by impressive locations, solid supporting actors and some great storylines. One can only hope that someone makes the right decision and complete the release of the whole series...

Excellent series, great music and fast paced action........2003-10-01

Carlton have done it again with excellent prints and very informative inserts. If you a fan of classic espionage, buy these DVDs. Sets 1-4 include the first 28 episodes. The series is well executed and fast paced. Patrick McGoohan is perfectly cast as John Drake and the guest stars are well placed. Hopefully Carlton will finish the series with episodes 29-39 to give us the complete series to enjoy.

Danger Man Episodes 13 to 20.......2003-09-08

Another excellent transfer to DVD of eight episodes of the 1960s TV series "Danger Man" starring Patrick McGoohan.
These are made in black and white, however the mastering to DVD is as usual excellent.
The productions are great and the acting is to a high standard.
As usual McGoohan plays the secret agent John Drake who gets into various adventures in different countries. He prefers to use his fists rather than a gun, and he does not get involved in sex.
This is an excellent collection of action/spy adventures.
I remember the series when it was on TV originally and it's great to be able to watch the episodes now on DVD.
