It won't teach you how to use your digital box, the PC or analogue tape but then that's reasonable because these are largely device specific. It will give you a full understanding of the jargon of mixing and how to approach from an aesthetic position how to mix music of various genres.

The only thing I found a bit irritating was the style of the production which interlude the techi bits with small 'humorous' sketches. Not my taste but it may be yours.
