The Best of the Best.......2005-01-18
This IS NOT a four-star DVD! This is no talk and all music. This is a collection of the best that Michael Jackson has to offer... the best of the best, if you will. From "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" to "You Rock My World" this DVD, spanning the peak of Jackson's career, is a fitting tribute to the King of Pop. It even has the "Thriller" short film (which, I believe, was once banned). Whether you like Michael Jackson or not, this is a must-have buy for any fan of music in general. Sensational.
Oh My God Michael! Your The Greatest Entertainer EVER!!!!.......2004-10-13
Wow, well this DVD just shows that Michael isn't just the King-Of-Pop that he's the greatest singer, dancer and entertainer in HIStory and will always be. I would pay this for just the "You Rock My World" video as this is the only place you can get it, I do know it's cut by 3mins and the video is really 13mins and not 10 but it is amazing, just like a remake of "Smooth Criminal". I cannot wait for "The Ultimate Collection" due out on the 15th of November as this will contain 57 tracks from 1969 to 2004 and the first only official DVD that will contain a full tour concert of Michael on his Dangerous tour, I can't wait. Michael rocks and Justin Timberlake and Usher needs to get ther only style and stop coping the KING.
You Rock My World - Is Pure Genius!!.......2004-05-23
I watched this DVD three or four times before I was able to put it away. It hooks you as Michael pulls his audience into his performance! I enjoyed all the videos even from the beginning in "Don't Stop till You Get Enough" with all the big sparkling glass balls flying above his head, behind his back and rolling along the stage. Then when I watched "You Rock My World" I thought to myself, this video is pure genius. Only Michael Jackson could create such an entertaining video with an exciting beginning, middle and end, a love story - in the middle of a mob nightclub. He falls for the girl of a gangster and to steal her away, he rocks the place with his song and dance moves. He brings the house down with three other dancers. If you have everything he owns, you'll still want this DVD. I read the other reviews about the cuts in some of the videos, but so what. This is the King of Pop and for the $13.00 I paid for this DVD, I would pay three times that just for "You Rock My World." Michael has some of his best dances moves in this video and he does it with grace and style, looking cool as usual. He is the only performer that I have watched perform that can dance like there are no bones in his body while never breaking a sweat.
These videos are still worth it despite the sound..........2004-02-24
These videos are still worth the money despite the sound quality that almost every reviewer has mentioned so far. Yes, the quality isn't particualrly good but the quality of the artist himself makes up for this. The older tracks may have worse sound, Rock With You and Don't Stop..., but the videos aren't particularly watchable anyway. I hadn't noticed the sync problem with Bad very much until someone else mentioned it and it became more obvious.
The videos themselves are obviously very good. However, I was disappointed to watch a different version of Smooth Criminal rather than the one I had seen before,(the one on the dvd is in fast motion).
Other reviewers seem to feel that the poor sound quality on some of the tracks is unacceptable. Yet, really anybody who is thinking of buying this dvd should already own the cds that contain the various tracks as they are so good, and cd sound quality is still above that of music dvds anyway.
Overall, ignore the complaints about sound as this is a dvd where you are paying for the extraordinary videos. If you have such a big problem with the slight problem then buy the classic cds; Thriller, Bad, Off The Wall and Dangerous; because any music fan should already own them!
What can i say, Its Michael Jackson!.......2004-02-18
I think this is a great dvd - and its a must-have for a Michael Jackson fan or anyone who is just getting into Micheal and his music.
I loved it! especially the 'you rock my world', short version. Not too sure about the 'smooth criminal' video though.
