At last a decent DVD!!.......2004-09-14

Well,After being a fan for almost 25 years,and countless gigs too,This item is a must for ANY! UB fan, It would also make a nice present to for the people that witnessed the Homegrown Tour gigs in the UK or Europe,The best thing about this DVD is the sound quality,It is absolutley superb,The DVD is a nice package too with Extras like The swing Low bonus track,Hidden Interviews,behind the scenes footage,which is great as it really shows the effort put into these gigs,plus a short interview with world cup rugby winners who attended there Home town gig.
My personal opinion is that the 1st track Present Arms is the finest part of the DVD,22 tracks including the gorgeous I love it when you smile,to oldies such as Food for thought & Please dont make me cry,right to the latest sounds from the new album So destructive,young Guns,& I knew you,also even thrown in the mix are tracks Maybe Tomorrow & Groovin,which rarely get a playing these days so its nice to hear,
My only Gripe is that Red red wine & cherry oh baby are always thrown in,(as being a huge fan these tracks tend to get a little boring only in my opinion of course :-) ) all in all
This is a cracking DVD.

Great performance of UB 40, HORRIBLE !!! work of director.......2004-08-19

The band performance is undoubtful, great, superb... and I could write dozens good adjectives more. But I think UB 40 should FIRE !!! it's director ! I wonder was he nervous when he was doing the job, or he just wanted to do something new, special and I don't know what, something from outer space ?! The average span of a take is about a quarter of a second!!! It really makes me (and other fans too, I guess) nervous and mad and makes me want to turn the TV off and let the divine music caress my ears only. I bought the DVD 'cause I wanted to see some faces, players, to see what people onstage were doing (because I'm a musician too) but not to watch some director's experimentation and lack of skills. Live show of this kind isn't video clip for God's sake !!! UB 40, please, talk to David Mallet or Sophia Muller next time you want to make live DVD !

Simply Breathtaking.......2004-08-10

To watch this dvd is the next best thing to seeing them live. Anyone who has seen the band live would agree that they are top class and the best night out you will ever have. No matter how many times i watch it i never get bored. If you don't already own this dvd then buy it now.

Not much to say about this DVD ...This is the best thing UB40 have ever released ..Great production Fantastic song choices and it has been a pleasure to grow up listening to the best band in the world ....Thanks UB40 .

nothing wrong with the content but very dissappointed that its just a rehash of the ten year old video, most fans will already have this on vid or like me have already transposed it onto dvd. come on lets have something new
