Amazon.co.uk Review
Made in 2001, Cliff Richard--Unforgettable is part documentary profile, part greatest hits compilation and for devotees provides over two hours in the company of one of Britain's greatest living entertainers. Through a segmented interview, Cliff provides his own commentary (and the occasional wry observation on his standing with critics and the pop industry) on a career of extraordinary longevity. Nobody else has made hit records in every decade since the 1950s. And most of them are presented here, either as film or video archive or in a lengthy segment of Cliff's record-breaking 40th Anniversary concert series at the Royal Albert Hall. His Eurovision Song Contest appearances are catalogued alongside original trailers for his feel-good movies of the early 1960s.
The whole thing becomes a kind of "Seven Ages of Cliff"--the changing hairstyles alone are a lesson in fashion history--coming up to date with his critically-derided but commercially successful run as Heathcliff in the 1990s and the hits which persisted in spite of almost non-existent airplay on national radio. One day, somebody will provide the definitive independent analysis of this ageless Peter Pan figure. There's not much objectivity around this one, but it's a poignant reminder of a truly impressive career in show business and the fans will love it.--Piers Ford

An excellent trip down memory lane!.......2002-03-27
This is a must for all your Cliff fans. Cliff does a video trip down memory lane and gives you a chance to have all those videos that are stretched across numeous videos on to one. Cliff himself introduces the songs and he remincises about the moments that he recalls at the time that the songs were released. Most enjoyable!
videos and footage great interview?? cut??.......2002-02-07
It was great to see all that unreleased footage, I truly enjoyed every video for each song. Would have loved some rarer concert footage, but the most dissapointing was the interview. I felt it was cut inappropriately and didnt show the true essence of Cliff, he appeared focused on being "remembered", to beat the competition(media). Has fame changed him? I dont think so but this interview would give that impression.
A truly UNFORGETTABLE DVD.......2001-12-07
It brought back many memories and it is truely 'UNFORGETTABLE'. Personally presented by Cliff Richard, this is the most definitive video yet, showcasing the highlights in his spectacular career since the very beginning. Acclaimed as one of the most popular and enduring talents in the history of how business, Cliff now selects his very own choice of remarkable memories. The story begins at the end of the fifties when sudden fame struck for Cliff, it was 1959 and the rock 'n' roll single 'Move It' was released and was an instant hit. This nostalgic performance and many more can be seen accompanied by intimate insights from Cliff Richard himself. Especially loved the pop promos such as Peace in our Time, Human Work of Art. I just loved seeing clips not previously seen from demos and Cliff looked gorgeous as usual. This is a must for any music fan. I promise, you will love this video.
A personal collection shared.......2001-11-28
I watched this video not knowing what to expect. Pleasantly surprised is the answer. Lots of music reflecting the years, snippets of Cliff explaining why he chose the cuts included.
The first piece is great, Cliff on the Oh Boy show with the Shads, aren't they young.
Overall a success, especially for Cliff collectors, 2 hours of good honest entertainment.
FORGETTABLE.......2001-11-15
When I bought this DVD I thought it would be pack with nostalgia, with many rare footage eg TV shows during the 60's/Early 70's; Eurovision; Top of the pops; Film clips from all his movies; Music videos; Even a photo gallery, the list goes on... But NO! instead you get 'Congratulations' '3 Film Trailers' 'Move it' and the rest taken from VERY recent videos, tracks like 'Wired For Sound' as well as 90's promos. Hardly a 40+ career?
Now the '35th Hit list' compilation Video would have been better to release on DVD with additions of a compendium of stuff associated with DVD. That would have been Brill!
Apart from the introduction of Cliff , footage from his 40+ career could have been used between tracks/songs giving an over haul look at his entire career.
This DVD is truly FORGETTABLE. Your better off seeking the 'Hit List' first.

Excellent, well worth the money.......2006-12-13
My husband and I were at this concert and the DVD offers a very good reproduction of that. As with any concert there are plenty of records that didn't make it to the DVD, but nether-the-less this is still great value for money.
A must-have for the loyal CdeB fan.......2006-04-07
Ten years on from this concert's recording, the music still sounds fresh and vibrant, which is more than can be said for the crowd. Are we CdeB fans really all that old and fuddy-duddy? Anyway, the music and recording quality are great (especially the DTS audio). All the old favourites are on here, but to avoid disappointment you should be aware that the track listing is not exactly the same as the audio CD of the same title (no Country Churchyard, disappointingly). Also, the orchestra doesn't actually play a note until the second half of the concert, while the choir only get the last two songs.

A Must Have For Go West Fans.......2007-09-03
Brilliant concert, they play all the greatest hits, different sounding cus it is live, but great nonetheless, you can tell for the first half of the performance Peter Cox's voice is a little dry and he cant quite hit those high notes lol! i.e. (faithful) and they could have done with some backing singers, other than that its well worth a watch.
Go West Simply Great.......2006-03-14
If you like Go West, then this is a must for you! All the music sounds great and with Peter Cox's singing you will be blown away. Be sure to turn the volume up and take in this superb DVD.
A must for all 'Westies'.......2005-06-28
This DVD is great! It has all the great songs you'll remember and shows what great performers Go West still are after 25 years. The interview with Peter Cox and Richard Drummie is fun and informative. As the title says, this DVD is a must for all Go West fans. Its the next best thing to being there! Happy Viewing..
NOT Kings of the mountain I am afraid.......2005-02-18
So Peter Cox got his fair share of public attention in the flopped series of 'Reborn' where he competed against Tony Hadley and L. John (Mr. Imagination).
Together with Go West mate Richard he is back touring the smaller venues and rejoycing his fanbase (mainly consisting of females in the 30-50 age group).
His voice is still there, technically limited but a soulful hoarsness that makes it kinda unique. All in all a good gig but that cannot be said of the Dvd , sound is not really perfect to say the least and the whole package looks a bit like a poor man's release.
I still believe Go West can hit the charts again, but the only thing I wanted to ask Peter Cos is : don't write an autobiography, look at what it has done to Hadley's career!
Nice enough but poor sound quality.......2005-02-18
I think that Peter Cox and Tony Hadley are both great pop singers from the eighties and nineties, Tony Hadley especially has one of the greatest 'technical' voices of the UK.
While Hadley is the better singer (he had already proven this on the 'Reborn' show where he and the brillient Leee John outshone the rest), Peter Cox's voice (even with mediocre breathing controll)has a kind of soulful hoarsness that reminded me of soulsingers of the sixties. If you are a fan of either gent it will be a worthwile addition to your collection but tecnically it is not the best of Dvd's I have heard , especially some of the soundtrack really sounds poorly.
Anyway it's good to see that they are still having fun
